***6 port turbo help***

Hello,

I know there is 100 threads that talk about how to do the n/a 6 port to turbo but what i want to know is what is your setup or what is the best set up like what injectors to use like 550cc primary and 750 secondary, what pump to use pressure regulator can you run any other turbo other than the stock what computer are you using to manage, can i use an aftermarket turbo manifold are you using top mount intercooler or a front mount i am doing a streetport on the motor i have the motor apart because one of my apex seal broke and made some nice scores on my rotor and housing, yes i should by a turbo II motor but i lost my job a few months ago and i don't make what i use to n my new job so i just don't have $1300 to buy the set up at this time, this is going to be a long process i will buy thing little by little the rx is not my dally driver so it can sit till i build it right or get a better job lol, so if you guys can help thank you, ohh i seen aaron cake page is a good

Thank you again

N/A irons ported pretty big. Turbo housings & turbo rotors.atkins 3mm seals didn;t go big with exhaust ports just smoothed them out basically went couple mm bigger. got oil mod's for higher oil press.
Fuel-Dual walbro's, 4 1600's
comp- microtech
turbo- Hx35w for now. going 42 or hx40. forgot manifold but its like ss or something. had to make a adapter to raise the turbo up because it hit the intake manifold.
intake Mani-s5 turbo
meth
A/W IC
2 stroke injection
tappep front cover for oil feed
oil return into pan
ran copper feed line and everything else copper
94 oct.
hoping to make idk ummm spin that bearing on the dyno lol. well i hope to max out that 35w witch is 450ish. on race gas idk prolly blow up before i even get the pump gas tune done so

all dpends on your goals. my setup is in my sig. personally, unless you are gonna
buy a rebuilt low mileage 4 port, i would just rebuild your six port since thats what you already have. depending on how far you go with it, a six port turbo is not as hard or expensive as a 4 port swap. ESPECIALLY if you plan on keeping your NA drivetrain. the one thing that will really make things simple is using TII intake components. japan2LA used to make an adapter plate to use a turbo LIM on an NA motor, but depeding on if you wanna run a hybrid with a larger compressor, this can cause fit ment issues (so i hear). he also makes custom manis that are all one piece (no need for adapter). thats what i use. its worth its weight in gold

550pri 720sec
walbro 255
SAFC, stock t2 ecu/harness with an Rtek5.
10psi on S5 turbo
Ran with front, top, and v-mount and I have to say the v-mount was the best!
3" exhaust back to a pair of megan 3in 4out mufflers.

The motor is soon to be in my 1st gen btw....

wow. there is waaaay too many ways.
what i want is something simple i really dont want an outrageous turbo upgrade just a simple set up(88 gxl 6port na).
i was thinking of keeping the stock s4 na fuel pump, injectors uim, sending my lim to get done by japan2la, stock s4 turbo parts(manifold, wg, turbo...)aftermarket front mount, super afc, aem wideband... what would u guys recommend for a plain but fuctional set up like this?
and i have about 105psi on both front and rear rotors...

I chose not to read the first post due to the lack of punctuation but here is my setup.

Streetported S5 block, TII rotor housings
550ccx4
Rewired FD pump (-resistor relay)
Stock TII ECU/sensors
S5 turbo
S5 port matched intakes
TMIC
5-7psi, wastegate spring pressure

The car generally runs rich with the setup. Idles in the 10s, cruise is good @ 12-13 and WOT is high 9s-11s with a lean spot of roughly 11.8-12.7 immediately after shifting to 2nd after winding out first until about 4500rpm.

btw midnight blue stock injectors and fuel pump for any turbo setup is a timebomb. Go with an FD pump (-$40) and TII injectors.

the thing you guys all have to remember is that when you lean a car out with an SAFC, it tricks the computer into thinking that less air is entering the motor (less load). Because ignition timing is based on calculated engine load, leaning out the SAFC results in more ignition advance. More ignition advance under boost when running n/a rotors can be very dangerous on pump fuel.

for that reason I would recommend:

1) if you have an SAFC, don't use negative corrections unless it is for low load

2) if possible, use an engine management system that gives you full timing control, either Rtek 2.1 or a standalone. and if you're running n/a rotors, keep the ignition advance really conservative at first. Just throwing some numbers out there... 6 degrees max timing advance by 10psi, 15 split (-9 trailing). you can always advance the timing later.

You drive a turbo car. #1 priority is don't blow the ****** up.
