$20k NA FC?

ITS RX-7's this year alone have captured many of the regional championships.
This isn't a street car boys and girls, this car will outrun street C6 Z06's and LS1/FD's around Lime Rock Park. It'll probably outrun a 500hp FC around that course too. These cars are so easy to drive fast, it's not even funny. Combine that with loads of grip and you have one fast machine that runs on stock ports! The damn thing only has to brake once the entire lap! I think these class of cars are capable of running under 1 minute @ Lime Rock.

is it just me or does everybody who bids on cars on ebay have a 5 character name with 3 *'s in the middle? I've been looking at FC listings for over 3 months now, refreshing multiple times per day, and i've rarely seen anything other than a 5 character name with the 3 starts in the middle, can somebody explain this to me?

I'd love to have a car set up exactly like that except....
It would be painted like the 787b
And it would be peripheral port and use racing beat aluminum side plates, but still use the MFR housings though.

Even if you guys don't realize those coilovers alone are worth as much as a typical TII RX-7, and even if you don't recognize the Van Steenberg name, you should at least figure out that car is all kinds of badass just by the fact it was leading at Sebring. I am sadly disappointed with you noobs.

I think this car is just what the forum needs. A real track car for sale. I have been thinking a lot lately about importing "race only" RXs built by the garage who built my car. I guess this gives me some sort of perspective on who would buy something that they can't cruise the strip with. I think people are divided 50-50 on the whole streetable issue. Honestly, I myself would have a hard time buying this FC because I have been pampered here with cars built better for a lot cheaper price tag...but America is a whole different monster when it comes to used car marketing. This is a very nice FC though. (This car could be turned "streetable" also)

Competative race cars cost alot of $$$$. There is alot more to it than buying parts. What you will be buying with this car is one that is sorted out. Alot of guys spend years to find the right setup.
I am sure if I added up all of the reciepts to my car I would be well over $30K invested and as it sits it is no where near a competative car. I have a ton of fun with it and run good lap times but if I wanted to win in a serious competition I would have to start over.
Saying he has $65K in the car is a way to enhance value or charging $20K for the car. Pure marketing.

Enough said. If i was looking for a full race car id jump on that. Youve prolly never built a race car and had to go through all the rule book crap and full safety stuff, it is EXPENSIVE.
The car is put together really well it seems, and would easily LAP a 500+hp 20b street car.

In all reality, you could just as well buy a brand-new Formula Ford for like $23,000.
Purpose built race cars drive better, and are easier to repair than street car conversions (due to how they're built).

you can have a sick turbo FC for 65K but it probably won't compete with the other cars. You guys have to remember to BUILD cars to meet the class rules otherwise you'll never be competitive.

I am selling a 1987 Mazda rx-7 turbo. what else can i say. has about 200 horsepower to the wheels, and is lighter than a mini cooper. the pictures say it all. a few paint screw ups, a few dents, and chips. The intercooler and turbo run great in this '87. Engine runs drives and doesn't overheat. This is a rear wheel drive, 2 door, 2 seater, 2 cylinder vehicle. the wankel rotary is an amazing motor, and the rx7 is praised as one of the best cars ever built. the braking system is better than anything else on the road, and the rotary is lighter than any other engine, making it an instant drift, drag, and fun classic. The rx-7 is completely stock, but due to exhaust leaks, i am now having an aftermarket downpipe, catalytic converter, and exhaust system installed. this will add 60 horsepower to the rear wheels, as depicted by dyno tests. the car is for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the auction if it sells. Don't let this one go buy without a second look at the condition. Any locals can come test drive the car before the auction ends. All sales are final, no second guessing. only bid if you plan on paying. thanks!
