I had a Saris roof rack. I loved it but I also got laughed at. I have a pick somewhere. I'll see if I can find it when I get home.

sweet. i'm curious too. rotarybeat actually made a thread about one a while back.

i'd like to take my road bike wherever i go as well.

but if you notice the distance between on front top of the door and the rear, it's little.

so it'd prolly look kinda silly throwing on a bike or something.

can't say much until i see pics i guess.

I check to see if by chance I had it on my work computer but no luck. That's what I thought. It really looked cool. I have one pick with the roof rack.

No I asked the bike shop for something specific and it was in the catalog for my car nothing special. The only thing that I noticed is when driving there WAS a whistling noise coming from the rack but the bike shop fixed that for me. I think I still have the rack someplace. I have no need for it anymore since I now have a vert.

I'll have to see if I still have it. You may have to get parts for it. If you was local I'd give to you.
I tried to mount it on my 626 but it didn't work. I'll check sometime this week if it's there pay for shipping and it yours.

if you want it, go for it. lol you can pay shipping. if you don't like it, i'll just scoop it off your hands for the same price. i hope it doesn't require any drilling into the body...

i'd rather just have it like the Yakima stuff, just clips and what not.

No drilling also, also if you get it from a CL it may not fit. I tied to fit it to my 626 and it was too narrow. they are made to fit specifically to each car.

its all good ill get the yakima i found...

it will 100% fit my car because its fully adjustable with 48" cross bars and Q towers which require no drilling but Q clips that go on the side of the door... YAKIMA is a very good brand when it comes to buying a roof rack same goes with THULE. VERY versatile, and can work on many cars and suv's with and without existing roof rack system or rain gutters. the Q towers are designed to fit any car without a rain gutter system and clip to the side edge of the car. I just need to pick up a set of Q17 clips from yakima and a 44" front fairing and im good to go! =]
i can even transfer the rack to another car with the right clips i can switch it around to any car

although the RX-7 is a sports car, i still use it for everyday things.

shoot, i stuff my whole 4 piece drum set in there too! with cymbals and hardware.

but of course, everybody has their own preference.

whatever we do, there's gonna be people who like it or not. just gotta live it with it.
