I was looking for a 240, then came across my gem with 73k miles, single owner, clean inside and out.

And the rest is history.

I bought my 91 because of accident really. My current ride is an 06 mustang that i am road racing with but since it is an automatic it is hard for me to keep the RPMs up through the turns and keep up with the vettes and subarus out there with standard transmissions. Well one day i noticed what looked like a 240sx behind a fence under alot of weeds and grass. I had been looking to make a Silvia S13 just for road racing for a while and i went to see the car and when i got up to the door of the store i asked the owner if he was still selling the car in the back since it had FOR SALE written on the windsheild but it was all faded. He asked me if i was asking about the BMW or the RX7. I looked at him then said"....um...the RX7". And when i saw it it was love at first sight. Down here in deep south texas RX7s are RARE, we have maybe 4 or 5 FDs and less than 3 FCs that are on the road right now. I have always loved the Rotary engine and i really wanted an RX8 before i bought my Mustang and even before that i always wanted an FD. Well the car came home with me and it needs ALOT of work but now i am hopeing to make this my main car and leave my Mustang as a show car.

Just recently i found another FC to join the family. The owner of the tire shop i go to just bought an 88 GTU for his son since his son always said he wanted an RX7 but an FD not an FC but his dad did not know the difference or he just bought this 7 because it was cheap. The only problem is the car will not start and all his guys are just looking over the engine and trying to figure out this odd "4 cylinder". Well i asked him about the car and he said the car would not start and that it was running before then he moved it one day and it did not want to start after that. They had been TRYING to work on the car for about 3 weeks and nothing (down here there is only 1 shop that works on rotaries and they are not that well known). Well I am happy to say that day that i asked him he was just so frustrated with the car and asked if i wanted it and that he would sell it to me cheap. So i said ok and bought it to save it from them trying to junk the rotary and drop in a horrible chevy engine into it only to junk the car later. So now i own an S5 AND an S4.

The first time I rode in one I was 17 I purchased my 87 TII in 2006. I am 27 now and am about 2 weeks away from having my baby on the rad. have spent the last year building it. there is nothing like these cars. all you need to do is ride in one and you will be hooked for life. fd's are great but there is something about that late eighties style i love.

Cause I actually learned to drive in a first gen 79... never looked back. Owned quite a few RX7s but my current turbo FC3S has given me plenty of smiles and takes my to and back to work everyday! Not planning to get rid of it any time soon.

My first car I bought in 05 was a 85 GSL-SE RX-7 when I got out of high school. I was looking for a car that had two seats so I didn't have to drive hella friends around and thought I could pick up chicks in a sports car lol boy was I wrong! Saw it at dealership for cheap, and remembered my older bro had one way back in the day and decided to buy it. I crash it like 5-6 months later. I bought my second RX-7 in 07, a 86 Sport from a friend for a really good deal and been driving it and making it better ever since. Easy to work on, cheap, handl really well and easy to make fast. And also try finding a car that can shoot flames stock! LOL I love shooting flames!

I used to be a big Nissan Silvia fan, but I ran into an FB in my local paper for a grand, ever since I've been hooked on rotors. I wrote off the FB 2 winters ago, and been looking for another since. Started searching classifieds, and found a FC that was too good to pass up.

well for as long as i can remember i've always wanted an rx7. after buying my acura legend i started searching CL every single night till i found my 7. couldnt pass up the deal. the reason behind me getting it was because i really wanted something that was 100% new to me. not new like from the lot new but more like not knowing a single thing about them. it's been a learning process for me since day one. and thats one of the man things i love about it
now if money wasn't much of an issue i would actually keep the fc and just upgrade it and make it better

1. I chose it because it was really affordable, and when I saw it I fell in love, everything was just so appealing to me.

2. If money wasn't a problem I probably would have bought a GT-R or an R32 Skyline lol.
