When you got too much time on your hands, my 86-88 FC code reader!
I used the plans that i found on FC3S Pro v2.0:  How-To - Zenki FC3S Error Codes
Cleaner than just wires and leds soldered together!
Total time, about 2 hours! Tested and working great! Total cost less than 5$!

Has to be LED, the transistors that switch it on and off can't support more than 150mA. A light bulb would exceed that by an exceptional factor.
