Even knocking off the center cap and stealing ssr's logo?
That is downright shady.
Browsing around for a USED SET OF REAL 3pc SP1's and found these. I got sick to my stomach from the lack of lip and then noted they were one piece and felt it churning and then saw they weren't really ssr's and threw up in my mouth a little bit.
THis **** has to stop.

look at all the fake BBS LMs rolling around in the euro car world. They say BB5
I know some people probably do not care, its just the principle of it, it ruins the collective value, people take pride in having original stuff.
Body parts I could care less though, would be nice if we had more options, that stuff gets destroyed anyways lol

Reminds me of the fake "bride" seats being sold. Personally, I hate knock-off goods and only put real on my cars, but to each his own I suppose. It's not realistic to think everyone is going to have the same set of morals. The sad thing is that the innovators get killed off and soon enough the are less and less new things anymore... like we've seen the last few years.
The good news is that Ebay lost a lawsuit to Louis Vuitton for counterfeit goods and had to pay 65 million. Hopefully they get sued into submission.

i will say though there are some situations where only knockoffs will do. RSI was doing some knockoff BBS LMs awhile back.(actually looks alittle beter then LMs had some more angle to them) but anyways they where making them for the volvo market which is very niglected for wheels as they run a 108x5 lug pattern with a 20+ offset factory so since noone else would make them RSI did.
not if they didnt make SSRs in miata's lug patterns i could understand BUT THEY DO!!!

Why are people getting mad at this? There is nothing illegal about this product, heck they even tell you it was made in Taiwan. Even Racing Beat has some products that are made in Taiwan.
"SSR SP1 Professor Style Replica.
Glossy Black Finish w/ Polish Lip.
Acorn Lug Nuts Required but Not Included.
The Rim Is One Piece Low Pressure Cast Wheel.
Lightweight Technology About 23lbs Each.
Manufactured in Taiwan."
Heck most people I meet at car meets with SP1s and other gay *cough I mean "Baller" type rims don't even race their car, so they might as well just buy these cheap made knock offs which are actually lighter than real SP1s.

because they're cheap. doesn't matter if they're still name brand they're still cutting corners like everyone else and playing off their name. i remember when stereos were high end, then you bought a deck a few years later and they were pure **** because they started outsourcing their products to be produced in taiwan and the quality went down the toilet.
it's called bait n switch.
problem with stuff on ebay is alot of it is outright lies, i'm sure many of you have seen Greddy products on ebay which were obviously not made by Greddy or endorsed by them. there is quite a bit of literal false advertising out there if you're not careful, because who's gonna stop it? not the government of either country, law enforcement has it's hands full and ebay isn't because it makes it's money off of the sellers. the upside is most of the time the deals are exceptional enough that people don't care if they are getting an original product or not, then there is the people who straight get ripped off and buy a Garrett turbo that is made in china but paid full list price for the Garrett(not me, i would never buy a name brand turbo off ebay unless it had well documentation and i have).

23 lbs for a 17 x 7 is lighter than an original SP1? That shitty wheel is a tank. The SP1 in 17 x 7 is 18.8 lbs (The disk type affects the weight, the lowest is 18.3). Any other proper 1 piece forged or even higher end cast (Enkei/Advan MAT) is MUCH lighter than that. You apparently have 0 clue what you are talking about, so please stop while you are behind.
