i mean obviously a rotary will make more power per liter than a pushrod v8, but there is no doubt in the world that that engine will make more power than yours.

completely stock as hell in NA form it'll make about as much as you can expect from a WELL BUILT NA 13bpp.

slapping on turbos is a death trap.

I completely agree. Which kind of makes me realize the most funny and best part about owning an FC. Our cars (especially N/A's) bluebook value is nothing! Mine is something stupid low like 1,300 where I am. So including my rebuild and all suspension upgrades I'm under 10k. Yet all these new cars that cost around 40-60k always compare their cars to mine. I never say mine's faster or better, cause in alot of cases its not. I had to sacrifice nice luxury things they have to make mine a little quicker or whatever. But everytime "they prove to me why their car is better" I just smirk as I walk off, cause yeah, I could own five of my cars with your one. Its like me rollin up on a go-cart, and sayin how much more awesome the Rx7 is.

So I went to the local discount yesterday to get some parts for my turbo swap. Walking in there, I had just finished pulling the N/A motor out of my car in 3 hours flat with nothing but 3 ratchet wrenches and some vice grips. I was sweaty, covered in oil (stupid pesky oil cooler lines), and tired. Some random hic decided to he needed to say something when I was talking with the sales associate.

me (to sales associate) - "I need a water pump and motor mounts for a 1989 mazda rx7, non turbo"
redneck - "maaaaaan, yall still mess around with them spinin triangles. When will you ever learn, those things cant do nothin but get real loud"
me - "oh really? What do you drive?"
redneck - "89 fox body"
me - "you drag it?"
redneck - "errrry saturday. she's runnin the stock block and radials"
me- "whats it run in the 1/4?"
redneck - "mid 12s"
me - "How's about we make a little wager?"
redneck - "hell kid, its free money the way i see it"
me - "50$ says i take you by at least a car on street tires"

Then he walked out the door. I got my water pump, mounts, and left.

Just wait... I'll see him at the track in about a month or two when my swaps done and blow the doors off it. We'll see who "ain't worth the gas" then.

Well put, this is probably the most logical post iv ever read on this thread. Its like for the love of the game not to try and show up and show off. I like the 2nd Gen cause well it's a ****** 2nd Gen and it's rotary just like other people like their car cause it's their car.

I guess your definition of everything is different than others...
one word out of a 50+ words post doesn't constitute as "everything"... infact... to most people that have received an education, 1 out of 50 is still one.

And I am unaware of GM's 6L sports car engine produces less than 350 at the crank. Do you have proof of that or are you full of bullshit?

Did you also forget that engine also produces higher gas mileage on a much heavier vehicle, while running cleaner and comply with a higher emission standard? or the fact that even with bad owners, it is still more reliable in a large scale?

Maybe you are talking about V8s that they put in trucks.... I'll admit that my truck's 7.3L only produces a "sad and puny" 250hp stock... I do believe it still makes more torque to the wheels at overdrive than yours does in 1st? But then, we would be comparing apples to oranges... (say, how much hp/l do you produce under 3000, where you spend most of your time?)

So, what the **** are you trying to say?

Ill teach you something about building a fast car.... It is not HP/L that matters, it is HP/LBS.

I was at the store by my house .. Just before it closed.. I bought a pack of cigs... when the clerk comes out to check out my 88 n.a he's like sounds a lil ruff adjust the idle screw..lol.. I have my idle turned down to like 750.. Its my motor mounts that r shot..

so i dont own an fc but i was at the tire shop with my 240 and the employee who was putting the tires on started talking to me about his friends fc. then he asks me "it has a rotary right?" so i told him yeah and he was talking about how his friend having a bunch of acres of land and how him and his friend get drunk and go out and rally it. he thought it was front wheel drive! i had to correct him.

A ford aspire is a 1.3 inline 4.. 63 hp at the fly wheel.... its funny to see one of those spin tires... like it sounds like blown air thru a straw..lol this kid I know did it he pelled out like 10 feet in first gassed it between shifts to purposely chirp 2nd the car really sounds like it trying.. It make me sad seeing it.. Then I think what an idiot...

Ok well I didn't know where else to post this soo this is what happened..

I was in a merge lane and a caddy is next to me

The light turns green I start goin.. The caddy mashes it.. We are neck and neck 1st and 2nd.. The end of the merge lane comes I brake to get behind him... then he slams on his brakes soo do I .. I dump 2nd to pass him... as I pass him there is stick in the road.. like 2 inched wide like 2 feet long I ran over the stick... the stick flys up .. I look into the rear veiw I see the stick fly up ...then the stick comes down hits the caddy on the hood then it hits the windsheild... they slowed down a lot and didn't try to follow me... I dipped out into a neiborhood after that happened..

Like I was really pissed until I passed him and saw the stick hit the caddy... then I was worried.. Then I got home and couldn't stop laughing.. Turns out is was a 2009 DTS it has 4.6 dohc v8 with 275 hp 295 tourqe and weights 4009 pounds.. Not to bad for my lil 13b n/a to keep up 1st and 2nd.. With a tach that doesn't read rite..
