A friend of mine just bought an N/A FC and i was helping him figure out what to do with it, Before long i told him that I wanted to turbo mine and i showed him a picture of the hood scoop. He then said that toe cowl hood was a good idea and wanted to know why it was backwords.
-He has since torn off the spoiler with a claw hammer which resutledin him smaching the center break light, denting the trunk lid and cracking the rear windshield. He cut out the carpet with a dull knife, and cut his shifter with a hack saw and made a **** out of tape.
He claims he did this to make it a race car.
....... Some people shouldnt get nice things.

My buddy mark always makes some sort of funny about my seven being a lawnmower and always asks me to cut his grass. One time he even said to go cut the grass on mount everest to shut me up about his s13 hatch....*** hole haha

Probe driving riceboy in auto: 'I want to get an RX7'
Me: 'Oh, really?' [inside my head: 'oh god, please no']
riceboy; 'Yeah, I want a rotary motor so I can shoot flames.'
Me:
Luckily, a week later, he decided he wants to get his Probe painted and sanded all the paint off of it and drove around in primer for like 6 months.
Another time in auto:
Guy: 'I know this guy with a black RX7' [describes it]
Me: 'Oh, I think I've seen it before. It's pretty sweet' [I was pretty stoked, it was a clean black S5 with Racing Beat exhaust]
Guy: 'Yeah, he's turning it into a drift car.'
Me:
Me: 'Oh, really?' [inside my head: 'oh god, please no']

beter than the dumb **** i heard once...im in my old schools parking lot right, and im tinkering with the car and my friends helping me....all of a sudden i see some old lady looking at the back of the car...
now the car CLEARLY says MAZDA and RX-7 on the back of it....and the bitch goes

one with a 3.8liter v6 stock
another with a 305 v8 "few" mods.
both said my 1.3 riceburner doesnt have close to 350 to the wheels, maybe 200.
then i took them for a ride, spun it into 4th gear on both runs.
and hit 100 soon after.
and they still said its a p.o.s riceburner.

My neighbors always call the Police on me because of noise or I have too many cars everywhere. I swear, there is only 4 that are not running the other 3 are perfect. I dont see what the problem is, I mean, SHE can park 2 blocks away. I got my cars there first.

It's not quite a funny saying, but as I was buying my RX-7 we turned around in a culdasac, had some guy and his wife come out and told us to keep the speeds lower... we were going like 20. haha

My roommates give me the best chuckle. the first day I brought my TII home they asked
"thats what you bought?!, (in a condescending voice)how much did you pay for THAT??"
ME- $2900. its was a steal!
"bro, you shoulda dropped money on a benz"
Me-"go for it baller!"
the next morning, Im letting the turbo warm up in the morn before i leave to work...
Im smoking a cig as my other roommate peers his head out the window on the second story..
" What is that?! Is that what you bought!!!?"
Me- Ya, just lettin her warm up
" you just bought it and its already fucked! You should of kept the other one!( which was 86 n/a)why was it revving so high, and its lopey, it sound like its bout to explode!"
I didnt even answer the question. NOw when I give my roommates a ride they just say Im gonna blow my engine(because apparently they never heard a turbo spool) HAHAHAHAHAHA!
But my girl( an ex turbo eclipse owner) is in full support. shes a keeper!

Well I had a funny one today, was near mazda so i dropped into check out the new rx-8, and the sales man came up and was talking to me. I said they were a nice car just needed more power, and that they should put on a turbo. He told me that the turbo was an issue with emissions, thats why they made the rx-8 a "twin rotor" instead of putting on a turbo. I just shook my head and walked away

One of the funniest things I've heard here:
"I'm letting my car warm up."
Translate this to:
"I'm wasting fuel, and wasting my time. Also annoying the neighbours with the noise from my exhaust for no reason".
As for the post above, it's probably correct but translated poorly. Mazda probably wouldn't have been able to make the car get the low emissions it does if they turbocharged the engine. The cats would need to be farther from the engine and probably wouldn't light off quickly enough to keep the nasties away during a cold start.
