My car is about 50% rattle can, duplicolor color match specifically. IT matches the stock color exactly and seems to be of decent quality (better be for the price). Now that I've been driving the car for a month I'm regretting not doing a clear coat. I'm either going to mask it off and get some SEM clear or have macco re-clear the whole car.

Vintage sportcars
I am owning a white 86 NA FC (s4).
Paint was very dull, guess the PO never polished it.
I have some small rust places on the lower places of the body, especially fender
and sides. Just one 5 mm² hole the rest are just small surface pickels which makes the car look shitty.
Last week I sanded the worst parts down with 40 and 80 to bare metal and applyed
2 coats of white hammerite.
Sure not the best way, but I have to protect it from rust until next year when I can use my garage
again to paint it white from A to Z. I got all the stuff, compressor, filters and sata spraygun.
My plan is to sand it down to bare metal and start from scratch, bodyfiller primer sealer basecoat and clearcoat.
I am not a painter, just did some airbrush here and there and did some very intense reseach on the topic of painting entire cars.
My point is that you can make a real good paint job even at your hobby garage when
you put care at your preparations and follow the paint manufacturers recommendations.
Using the right tools and quality paint you may be able to produce a really nice and lasting paintjob.
I dont want to let it painted at a shop cause they just sand on the oem paint and put
the new one ontop and charg an arm and a leg for that **** they did.
Last time I went there to get an estimate they set it at 5000$ just painting,
i have to disassemble and assemble the whole ting.
I am thinking all day long about painting my car, i really cant wait to do it
I have to say that with rattle cans your paintjob does look nice but unfortunatly it wont last long.
I use rattle cans for some small parts, for that they are very fine, but I cant imagine the work for doing an entire car with that.
and respect the work you put in there
Regards
Steven

well its better than flat black
This is just temporary right? Cant say I like it, i been through that project stage b4 and can only say once you get real paint on there, you never want to go back.
I spray bombed a few cars before. Did a S14 in flat white and it was alot better than mismatched panels though.
