Satin Gold Metallic FC's
so, after years of being a member on these forum's, and searching for the perfect TII...i think i have found the perfect FC for me.
its an 87 TII, with 44k miles on it, florida car for the first 40k miles, now in illinois since 5-2008 (4k miles in a year)
anyway's....its MINT!!!!!! inside, outside, under the hood, under the car...it all looks showroom brand new...im not even sure the car has ever been washed, probably just waxed after every drive. no corrosion on any aluminum part's, no rust on any steel part's.
its Satin Gold Metallic, with Maroon interior ...im not a huge fan of the interior color, buts its an 80's car, so whatever...as long as its mint.
is there a thread started anywhere for FC's of this color? seems like a rare color.
i can easily picture this car looking badass lowered with some17x8, 17x9 polished RPF1's, a front lip of some kind, and S5 tail's. my girlfriend cant picture it, and needs help (she knows i build quality car's, and trust's my judgment) but i would like to show her some cars of this color that some of you guys have built.
thanks in advance guy's.

here are pics of the FC im thinking about buying:
what do you guys think? i think it has potential with just coilovers, wheels/tires. you can see the only 2 dings that are in the car (right in front of the driver door handle)...it has an S5 center console(dont know the difference), tint, corksport rear strut bar, K&N air filter, and some 3" catback single muffler exhaust.
what do you guys think that car is worth?

id leave the interior, its really clean you can not pass that up!
its low millage, very clean good condition, its worth as much as you would want to give for it, should be worth it for that condition. Looks like it could be a museum piece lol
I wouldnt get it.. its too precious to mod lol <3

well...i sold my Acura TL, and have about $13k to spend on my next project car. i was thinking of offering $5800 for the above RX7.
i can always buy a new black carpet set to offset the red interior enough to make it "not so 80's"

your right, everything looks brand new under the hood....no dirt, dust, oil, corrosion on anything. it almost looks like it came out of Mazda's museum or something.

Yeah, you pretty much have to buy a car like that when you find it. A clean, mostly unmolested S4 TII with 44K miles? And it's local to you? How many of those are actually still out there? If you can get it for $5800, I think that's a good buy.
Agreed the red interior is not delightful, but as you said, it is an 80s car. You're preserving a piece of Japanese motoring history. I wouldn't tear it apart myself, but of course, it's your car and you have to be happy with it. Also, live with the S4 tails for a while before you yank 'em. I was all set to put S5 tails on my '88 GTU and now I can't imagine the car without the S4s on there. (If you do decide to get rid of the S4 tails, give me a PM... can always use a set of nice spares.)

Ugh. My first FB's interior was like that.
Seriously, what were they thinking in the 1980's...
Hair metal? I can dig it...
The mullet? Okay, to each his own...
But MAROON car upholstery?
The gold cars are rare because they almost all exclusively came with the red interior and some people had sense enough to not get that.
Though actually, I've seen four of those colored cars... ALL with that nasty crusty scab colored interior.
44K though, I'd jump on that in a heartbeat and do my damnedest to replace that interior with black or even beige...
