not really a drift game, its a race simulator but some drift mods where made.. its very difficult to drift in the game since it doesnt have the proper physics for it. some people are actually good at it

If your computer is decent, check out sim racing! its very fun esp when you play online, of course tho, people online are wayyyy good, usually spending mad $$$ on thier equipment... I rock a playstation 2 dfp steering wheel.

If you like this check out iRacing. One if not the best sim you can get. Full 3D mapping of real tracks, however a limited amount of cars at present time.

 

I just play live for speed, you can modify the XRG/XRT to look like a FC, well I have a skin that does.

 

lfs is good. the problem about iracing is you have to subscribe and pay monthly or so...

haha nah, its like 20 or 30 so online.. they sell it at frys too
you jus spend alot of time downloading mods/tracks

What do I need to download to play this drift mod?
The rFactor homepage does'nt make any sense.

 

Found where to download the game and the mod but the 'demo' wont let be start with the JDM cars mod and I don't think I want to pay $50 if I can't test the drifting before I buy it.

i cant tell you how ot compares to lfs because well, i never bought lfs, its lack of content didnt appeal to me.

Got the game another way around so now I got the JDM Cars mod running but I can't get the damn car sideways, I upgraded the FC with the Stage 4 13b engine but it don't seem to be enough to spin the wheels.
And why did I start with 0 credits and after the engine purchase I had -1, after that I could'nt upgrade anything else?

Bhaa, don't think it's worth the time anyway, why could'nt Codemasters just have made an FC for the game GRID instead?

grid sucks as far as simulation, but they did do good with drift to appeals the mass majority of people who just want eyecandy.

a bootleg copy of rfactor would suck since you cant play online, and just getting rfactor to drift is really bad since the game wasnt designed for it.

get the hdr plugin , makes the game look alot better

they got a FD but you got to buy it or win it in the game.. i havent played in a while, but it looks like there might be a FC in it now *looks like there is one on the banner on the site*
This game is actually pretty fun.. i havent played in like a few months so imma have to redownload.. Usually you can test drive the cars before you buy em, so i wanna try that fc

 

I actually enjoyed the drifting in GRID, i think they did a good job with the feeling, too bad it didn't have an FC, no modification with the game or the cars and it could have been more tracks.

The only games I can think of right now that include an FC are the Gran Turismo and Forza series, Auto Modellista, Tokyo Xtreme Racer DRIFT and The Fast and the Furious game for Ps2.
Can someone mention some more games maybe?

I will try that Project Torque game tomorrow and see if I enjoy that more, thx.

heres the fc in project torque.. i did a test drive *you need to use real money to purchase it in game etc.. or wait til they have a giveaway event, you can mod it put rims bodykits, upgrades when u own it*

hmm is that racer free sim? i think i tried it a few years ago and wasnt impressed.. how is it now? I know theres tons of 3d models that people have made for that game.. just wish some of those guys would consider putting their 3d models into other games.

A few years ago the game sucked. but I have to admit it is a lot nicer now.

The gameplay is really nice and the graphics are halfway decent, but in retrospect its an awesome game considering it was free.
