If you want to do it ghetto find a beginners polishing kit that you can use with a drill, buy sanding paper of 250, 400, 600 and 1000 grit and start with the coarse grain. It should take you about 10 hours if you work properly and if you do every steps properly.

I take it you drilled and tapped the plates to use stock mounts? Any idea on cost? I hate my adapter mounts...

Yeah it was all drilled and tapped. I had a mate do the work, when we pulled down my FC block the housing's weren't healthy and he talked me into going with the REW and he did all the work on it, cost me 3700 I think for the dowelling, engine mounts, full bridgeport, SCR seals etc etc and he rebuilt the clutch to handle the power (should be 450 - 500rwhp) I paid 4k for the block from an importer here that he knew, he said it was the best block he had seen in about 5 years and I didn't really believe it but there was not a scratch on the housing, no shaft play in the turbos and no wear on the water pump, so whatever car it came out of must have been written off early on. So essentially it's all brand new. Shame I can't do much more on it as I can't actually walk for another 6 weeks after my motorbike accident.
