And damn, I gotta be honest. Not to brag at all, but when I bolted these wheels on, washed the car off and drove around the block to settle the suspension, then got out and walked away to look at it, I was speechless. This thing is literally PERFECT. There is no wheel that could make it look any better. I am stunned at how well it sits. From every angle the fitment is exact. This is one of the rare situations where a project turns out BETTER than you had dreamed. I didnt get much work done yesterday because I kept walking outside to look at the damn car.

Nice, now theres almost nothing you can do cosmetic's wise to make your car nicer aside from an illegally darker tint. Never did like the Stern's on your car Kev, but the 'meshies' does it much better justice. Now dont go getting a carbonfiber hood and painting it body color and you're set.

Looks like a 40 series, don't quote me though.
Beautiful car! Makes me want to change from black to whatever beautiful blue that's.
I work at a tire shop and i've been hearing alot of good news about those michelin hyproedge's. They're far superior in rain. Whats the specs on those wheels?

The wheels are ePH C freak's old 17" zauber wheels. They are 8" +29 and 9" +35 I believe. The tires I think are 235 and 255/40, yokohama of some sort. The fronts need replacement pretty soon due to camber wear, the rears I can ride on for a year or 2. I will tell you that the rears lose traction a LOT easier than my old 225/50-16 bridgestone potenzas on my old wheels. Now the car just roasts the tires in 2nd gear, whereas before it would barely break traction in first and not at all in 2nd...and those tires are an inch narrower than the new ones.

For those who are wondering, the color is factory 5D harbor blue metallic (series 5) with a bit of extra metallic base to lighten it up and make it pop/sparkle more. The 5d that the paint store originally mixed turned out a medium navy blue more similar to the series 4 metallic blue, and had to be lightened significantly to come anywhere close to the actual color that the car is supposed to be. Turns out, the paint chips themselves are way too dark in the books, from multiple paint suppliers, so someone at mazda must have fucked up back in the day when they gave the paint chips out to the aftermarket, and maybe gave them an s4 chip by mistake or something.
An engine bay shot just for the hell of it, all parts of the engine powdercoated by yours truly, including the block.
