Tape the license plate in place to where you might like it, so you can get an idea. Mark the holes and drill 2 holes.
Use 2 bolts, inserted from the inside with lock washers, through the bumper, and then washer and nut tightend down, And then washer / Plaste / washer/ Nut. THis will have the license plate spaced so it wont be rubbing against the paint and be easily able to unbolt it when necessary.
I think side mounted plates can look great when mounted and positioned right.

When the plate is nicely mounted, I think it accents the front end unlike the sloppy ones posted above.

I hate to say it, but as much as the factory bracket puts it in a stupid location dead center of the bumper, it sure looks better than most of those haphazardly attached off-center plates.
When the front bracket is placed such that the plate sticks up instead of down, it doesn't reduce flow into the FMIC/rad.

putting a license plate ANYWHERE in your car will NOT make it look better in any shape or form. just stick in the middle (twss) where it belongs. by the time this thread is over you could have tried every possibility for your self. use double stick tape and try different positions.
