nothing special but this is what i did with mine. the po spray painted the centers black and it was so rough you could literally scrape your elbow on it. lol
you can actually see how rough it is in the pic.
so i headed down to my local joann fabrics and purchased some microsuede and some spray adhesive. it was very easy to do considering the center panel is a separate piece.
all said and done i think it cost me around 30$ and my time

I was bored and didn't have a black dash yet so I decided to Frankenstein my gray and black door panels so that the gray would still match up to the dash.

Seeing how easy it is to completely disassemble these door panels and replace the fabric on it I'm surprised there aren't more pictures of custom door panels.

I am too. I took the covered panel and bottom trim/door pocket off of mine and im thinking of making a flat carbon fiber or fiberglass panel to cover all the door workings.
