I think the car would flow a bit better without the wing, other than that I don’t mind it too much though I would change a few things.
Intentional or not I detected contempt in the first paragraph of your first post. It was almost as if you anticipated a flood of negative feedback and tried to deflect that by indirectly stating that unless someone’s car is better than yours that their opinion (which you asked for) was somehow less valid. Nothing personal, that’s just how I interpreted it.
that said feel free to give your opinion on one of my 7's

Your right, I did expect negative opinions, I was hoping to see some pictures of UNIQUE 2nd gen RX-7's from folks that have customized and/or restored them.

Well I guess this thread will get locked down shortly.... BOTTOM LINE your taste isn't for everyone, some people took your comments as cocky, and you obviously really don't mind spending money on your car. Reality is that you only really did the engine swap (which could really use some detailing), interior, and speakers... The car was already as you recieved it minus the paint (which as someone who paints cars on the side) I have a hard time believing that it cost $5,000. For $5,000 they would most def. would have painted the bay.... I hope that you enjoy your car, and for all I care you can spend $30,000 on it if you want, but you are going to recieve some negative comments as the style you have going on there was cool about 10 years ago... So the car looks tacky over all.
I think you have put a lot of effort into competing the look, and it is exactly what it is..... Your car.

OP, what did you expect??
Thats some rice for sure, huge woofers, diamond plate floor mats. etc.....but to start getting so defensive and calling names seems to be out of character for such a graceful old man.
Good luck making it look decent, mine is in my sig below, i dumped money into the engine and drive line compared to the body, but I value performance and driveability over looks, so really to each their own.

I expected just what I got, some good and bad opinions, suggestions, comments and constructive criticism. I only got defensive when someone posted information with no validity, think about it, why would I get all butt hurt over someone’s opinion of a body kit that I didn’t put on the car myself.
As I said and was pointed out, I did the interior and engine swap, the exterior pretty much came the way it is and im changing some things, I may very well remove the spoiler, the front bumper for sure. I have to agree that some of the aspects are RICE and wanted to get some opinion on how to improve.
If my comments in this thread came across as cocky or rude, then I can’t imagine what it’s like in the real world for those who think that. It’s a cut throat dog eat dog world, get a back bone. I didnt get offended at all, took the comments in stride, minus the one dumbshit.

Again, I appreciate the comments and suggestions.
I found a little time today and put down some elbow grease under the hood, I could have spent a lot more time, but ran out of time today, but im gonna keep working on it.
I replaced the shift **** to plain black, got rid of the chrome pedals replaced them with new black rubber, ordered new carpet floor mats, pulled the diamond plate mats out, bought a new black dash board.
I would really like some suggestions on a new spoiler, I saw a picture of a vert with the FC 2000 front with the wing I have and im not sure they go together well.
BTW, sorry if I came across like an *******, but that kid said I thought I was “better” because of the money in this project and im just not like that. It pissed me off when he said I was defending the front bumper by stating its expense, the whole time knowing that im replacing that front with the FC 2000…anyway. Im a pretty kind hearted person, that kid lives in my state, im the kind of person that would help him with his car or send him spare parts if he needed them free. He just rubbed me the wrong way with that post.
Again, I apologies if I was rude to anyone. Im building off your suggestions.

Thanks, I ran that ******* Dremel tool to the bitter end on the intercooler it seized up and was smoking like crazy, I went a little overboard and rubbed off some of the lettering, lesson learned there, I will have to get a new intercooler…that one has a small dent anyway.

Well I don't know.. I think a nice S5 bumper with a good lip is enough...
That front has been overdone.. especially now that you can get the kit off ebay for about $600.. It used to be a $1400 conversion...
I like the pop up lights, The s5 bumper is great with a lip... something is to be said about subtle modifications..
But the RE kit does look more modern if that is what you are going for..

Sorry bud, but the spoiler looks like it fell off of a Sprint car, and you found it on the side of the road and fitted it to your FC. The speed holes in the fender are tacky. The front bumper cover looks like you stole it from an MR2. And all of your emblems are from FDs of different years.
Aside of those parts, the interior looks really nice, the paint looks perfect and the rims are definately nice.
