Thanks for all your input! I will give a little back ground.

I bought the car kinda half done, it came with the body kit and spoiler you see, vents in fenders and all. The engine ran good but didn’t have the power I wanted, the interior was shot.

I basically stripped the car down minus the exterior, everything came out. Did a full 91 S5 JSPEC swap engine, trans, LSD. It has fully new exhaust, aftermarket down pipe, catless cat, high flow mufflers. I changed out the entire interior to black minus the dash. New seats, those were quite a find with the two tone black and blue scheme.

Here is my very soon future plan (before summer), RE- Amemiya front bumper (possibly molded in), street roll bar painted to match the body, black dash board, new floor mats, shifter ****, pedals, triple 5ONE5 gauge pod + gauges where the warning light is. New intercooler, clean up the engine bay, not real proud of that right now hence the lack of photo at first, just completed the swap an have not had time, but it will sparkle when im done.

I did not have them paint under the hood, but the undercarriage was rust proofed and painted to match the body, pretty damn clean under there.

I was not a big fan of the spoiler myself but it has grown on me, I don’t like the front bumper myself hence the RE- Amemiya front bumper going on soon, but that Mariah front is metal and fits like dream very high quality just not my style. I like the fender vents, might put a water purge there.

Again thanks for you opinions, comments and suggestions. I’m sure I’ll keep throwing money into this bitch, well see what’s next.

It seems you have an expensive project and you're planning on dropping more into it, then you're going to sell it? I like it. It is way too wild for me, but it looks like a fully restored 'luxury' model. As for the wheels, I like. The spoiler is pretty busy, but I'd sport it if it functions. ie, glued to the road at speed.


I meant 5-6k as a complement since I've not seen any going higher. I bet you had a good time doing all the work, because, if not, it is all in vain cause it ain't easy getting cars to go up in value.



These fellas are just being picky of the style since there isn't much to improve on style-wise.


I guess your wore out from all the work, since you haven't had time to clean the bay. It makes it look all show no go. I'd rather have a rusted out body with a solid drivetrain than vice versa. If it is sound mechanically and you wouldn't fear a cross country trip with extreme cold and hot, clean the engine bay and demand 10k. It doesn't matter who would pay what....it comes down to value. The car is worth so much, the additional parts, and most important is your time. What do YOU value it at?


What would I do? Store it and wait. Just imagine having this car on the streets in 2025.

Im not selling the car when im done, just trying to figure out what I should insure it for. Your right, the project did kick my butt a little, but had a lot of fun along the way this winter. The car is mechanically sound, very responsive, Im guessing it would pull high 13's - low 14's in a 1/4 mile, I will know for sure in a couple months. As far as performance goes, its the way it came from Japan, exept a big aftermarket turbo. Thanks for your props, it was a ton of work, lots of time and money invested.

I am a little confused by the posts that suggest getting a set of staggered mesh wheels.

Correct me if im wrong, but the wheels that are on the car ARE staggered mesh wheels.

Maybe you guys could post some pics of what you are talking about.

The guy I bought it from had put the full Mariah Sports body kit on it, belive it or not, its made of metal and it cost more then most FC's you see whole.

I think this is a pretty cocky statement. Seems to be a common defense strategy "yeah it looks ugly but it cost x amount of $". This is a case of too much money mixed with horrible taste. I don't want to picture ***** but feel free to look at my car in my VBgarage link in my sig, my car is completely functional and does what its been modified to do. I don't care if you're 100 years old, all that means is that you got into cars at a later age than I did. Don't come out here thinking you're better than others because you dumped more money into your car. It obviously serves no purpose other than looking good to YOU, and having an obnoxiously loud stereo system. Intentional or not I detected contempt in the first paragraph of your first post. It was almost as if you anticipated a flood of negative feedback and tried to deflect that by indirectly stating that unless someone’s car is better than yours that their opinion (which you asked for) was somehow less valid. i think the car is hideous and looks like pure american rice. it looks like an ebay special with the $10 steering wheel, floor mats, subwoofers, wing, bumpers and fenders. i dont understand why so much money was put into (wasted) with the body yet the engine bay looks terrible.

I agree that the bumper is ugly, that’s why im tearing it off and replacing it as outlined a few times, with that being said obviously I have no need to defend the bumper. I was surprised by the price when I went to the manufactures website and commented on its cost and quality.

I think your internalizing this or your drunk, I never said or thought I was “better” then anyone for the cost of this project, **** I have seen 7’s on this board that put this car to shame by price, style and cost.
