I still have some major expensive stuff to do before it will really be near "like new" condition: Big time body work/paint job, full suspension/brake system restoration, engine rebuild, new exhaust system, etc. But stuff like that will be half modifying the car too.
I can't even estimate how much time I've spent, many hours with many to come, most of those hours being awesome.

i miss my V8, it would blow away my streetported '87 T2 but the T2 is a work in progress still and i haven't had time to get some pics of it yet. funniest and saddest part of that car was the lady who was interested in it grabbing for the 'oh ****' handles when it got sideways in second at about 85MPH, i think im better off that i did not let her drive for the test drive or i might not have survived... come to think of it she never did come back to pick up the car cover for it, i wonder if my baby is still in one piece.
btw, to those who flame me for owning a V8, i sold it so i could keep the T2, i had 2 dream cars while growing up, the power of the V8 with the RPMs and smooth effortless power of the rotary, i chose to keep the 7 and build it up to beat the V8.
edit, actually you can get a glimpse of the front bumper of my 7 in the pic, lol. maybe someday i'll quit working on the sucker and actually take a photo of it.
oh, and the elcamino was ugly for a reason.... the tires were wider than should be on the car, they barely squeezed into the rolled wells.
