New Wheels for the FC

Well i ended up picking up some wheels from a buddy of mine. you dont really see them around on many cars, at least i dont. but i love the sunk face of the wheels. they sit awesome on the car but i needa do a little more rolling so i can fix my camber. 17x9.5 +15 all around. my friend gave them to me with some burnt 225/45's but i plan on running a 215/40 up front and stickin to 225/45's in the rear. enjoy

Looks awsome, I hate when people run 17x7, 17x8 etc. that is gayyy. Love the look and the offset. Lol I just got rid of my 17x9s and got some 17x10.5's

I think your car would look really good if you got an actual fender roller, the one the bolts to the hub and rolled them a little, then you could run some wider tires.

Sorry if some of us like matching our wheels and tires properly as recommended by tire manufacturers.
Sorry of some of us don't like adding more unsprung weight unnecessarily that's just detrimental to performance by NOT running wider wheels unnecessarily.

If you like doing it for looks, then whatever floats your boat...
Some of us actually do this for performance rather than looks and trying to impress other idiots out there...

wow nice but that car is low! Your wheels probably scrape the body the whole time you drive!

I would love to find a set like that for my LEX.... What advantage is there to stretching the tires? It would make my 17x9's clear the body a little better but it looks dangerous...

very touchy territory haha, some are going to list the negatives.. so positives is, better wheel fitment from running a wide or low offset wheel, you can usually tuck teh wheel in a little better.

Since the tire is stretched, the sidewall tends to become stiffer and less flex. It comes with teh price of less contact patch/less grip then a traditional wider tire. That also makes the overal tire "harder". You can kinda compensate with running a higher sidewall series instead of going super low profile.

im actually borrowing a real fender roller from my buddy. i just got my supernow suspension parts last week so adjusting toe and camber in the rear to good specs will be possible so once i get those in and set it to where i want it i can decide on how much to roll then. im lookin at maybe -1.25 rear camber 0 toe and for the front im going to adjust the caster to stock and maybe set the camber to negative 2.0-2.5. as for suspension setups im using PartShopMax coilovers (my friend dans company) and supernow rear suspension links and subframe mounts.

umm i think my buddys at speed alliance can get them. thats where my friend who i got them from got them. the come in gunmetal or chrome. i like the chromes the look hawt. they also have two different kinds of CST's. they have the zero-1 which is what mine are then they have the D-Spec which i think is more rx7 suited in style.

You will never be able to run the tire sizes on an 7-8" rim as you will on a 9" plus obviously. If I started listing off tire sizes I have run in the psat you would **** yourself. My fenders are rolled and pulled 2" which is why I can run wide rims with wide tires.

thanks for the comments everyone, seriously i expected worse but wanted to share anyways cuz my mentality on my car is kinda watever. I did want i wanted and seriously am surprised to see alot of people likin it. Razmus which wheels? the hot wheels or the CST's? the cst's are only made in japan making them just like work wheels or any other japan made wheel. hard to get unfortunately. my buddy has had these for about 2.5 years on his s14, so i got first dibs on them from him. again thank you everybody for the comments and once i get all my supernow parts installed and fix my alignment to my liking ill post pics again. i will be doing quite an aggressive pull on the front so i can get clearance for turning and what not so once i get some super angle spacers for the front we'll see what i can do. I would also like to encourage everyone to do what they want with their own cars and not worry about what everyone else thinks. regardless there will be people who disagree or dont like what your doing, but in the end its your car and if anything bad happens you can suck it up cuz you chose it. I wont go and disagree with reTED because thats his opinion and he sets his car up differently then i do. i wont go hatin on his car because like i said, he likes it that way. its a shame to see how big of a gap there is growing between different groups of people on rx7club but what can you do. oh well sorry about the rant. thanks

Daniel

oh and razmus you can get hotwheels from discount tire for pretty cheap. they come in nice sizes too. 17x9 +0 is the most desired

Hypertek he rolled the rears very nicely but he has since dont some nice bodywork and came out with a super nice rear flare
