new plans for the panda 7....

so the wheels arrived today and i test fitted them on the car. i need to account for a little less then 3 inches in the rear and a little less then 4 in the front.
does anyone know how far out the stock fenders will roll? i think i remember seeing a thread with a black rx7 fc with some modified stock fenders that where cut then pulled and welded back... anyone got pics or info on this? i was searching and couldn't find anything.

i dont think theres anyway a roll would be able to get that in including the tire, especially with proper camber, i would highly and i mean highly suggest some type of wide body in the rear. You want to road race this car so your probably not going to want -4 or more degress of camber on the track.

yeah you need wide overfenders! unless you rock hella stretched and get camber links and max camber it in.. what sizes are those wheels? offset, size? Maybe I can help!
I have 50mm wide overfenders in the rear and running 18x9.5 -25 offset with 215/35/18 stretch.. In the front I have stock fenders with 17x10- 21 235/45/17 stretch max cambered all the way in..Every inch of rim width is like 25mm in offset.. maybe this can help a bit with the fitment..

If thats the 2 ton jack, dump out half the fluid and exchange it, I work t=for autozone and there was a safety recall on those jacks about 3-4 months ago, the frame can bend and the jack can let go. when you swap it out get the torin big red jack, its the *safe* replacement were offering.

i am going to be going all out on this car but it will not be completed this year. i will have it up and running this year but a lot of things with the car will not get completed till next spring summer.
that black car you posted is exactly what i was thinking of. i have a friend here localy that is pretty amazing with that kind of stuff and i was debating that instead of investing in fiberglass overfenders.
all the pointers and input is welcome! i appreciate it all since this project is going over my head

Just add some metal to it. You can make a widebody yourself.
But goddamn, all that for a 10" rim? I have 9.5" wide rear wheels under a bone stock fender. You must like buying and changing wheel bearings or something

and a 10" wheel will fit a 275 or a little bit higher tire in the rear. not only that but this will widen the stance of the car.
i race locally at sandia motor speedway. its a road course track. and this car is going to be my next track toy.

I disagree, being different is what it's all about. Customizing cars is what we love and when people see the panda paint scheme, everyone will know it's him and not just another rx7
Love the wheels, love the paint job

although i may be changing the paint scheme on the car...
here is a pic of testing the wheels out on the car with tires.

Really gonna be nuts when they're fit.
