Next came a nice FMIC setup and a rebuild
streetported with aviation black seals
Rtek 2.1
ACT 6puck sprung clutch
BNR stage 2 turbo
New downpipe with Racingbeat catback and test pipe
the Blitz boost controller kicked the bucket so I got a Hallman MBC with in-car adjustment kit
At some point I got a KAAZ 2-way LSD and Stance coilovers
ST sway bars that are now removed
DTSS Eliminators
S5 Power rack (depowered)
TC Sportline sub link
Removed rear carpet and all sound deadening and painted everything to match
Im sure im forgetting something....

I decided to get some wheels. A-Tech weapons 17x9 +17 front 18x9 +15 rear

Last year at a drift event I made the mistake of letting a friend drive and he smashed the pass. side quarter panel so I decided it was time for a body kit
I got the kit from a friend for $200....you get what you pay for

The side skirts were 2" too short. So I cut and lengthened them

The rear bumper didnt fit at all. I had probably 10 hours worth of fiberglass and filler work making it right and I filled in the other exhaust outlet.

But it all came together in primer

Then came paint

It sets pretty low

I couldnt stop there. I thought What kind of FC drift car doesnt have modified steering angle?
I got DCW knuckles
MazdaTrix race angle kit
and replaced the wheel bearings.
I also got new drilled rotors and new pads and ebrake cables
Powered By Max wheel spacers so I wouldnt rub the control arm at full lock

After a few hundred $$ in odds and ends it sits like this

Its my never-ending project drift car
Dyno'd at 320rwhp
Still needs a cage and some more alignment products.

Haven't been on in a while so here's an update for the past couple months

I bought the cage from 87 t-66. Thanks man!

When I got it home I painted it up and put it in the car. It wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done

I was suprised how well it ended up fitting

Then I put the interior back together

I had it at the track and the threads pulled out of the end of the driver's side tie rod coupler because Mazdatrix is too dumb to supply a longer coupler with the race angle kit to sufficiently set the toe and be safe all at the same time.
My solution:

I then proceeded to do high speed sideways burnouts

*Thanks to Kinch for snapping yet another one of his sweet pics!!

Some things have changed since my last update.I bought a Miata

and fixed it all up

I sold my RX8
and traded my 280ZX Turbo

for something I've always wanted...

The FD is currently at Speed1 getting some love because I don't have enough time to do a rebuild and a bunch of other stuff to it while being ***** deep in another project. Plus I have plenty of extra garage space now

Here is the important stuff:

I started the Christmas season off right with a big box full of fiberglass.

Yup. I finally went widebody. I got a good deal but it was kind of a pita to get on the car.

Drilling the holes in my quarters was one of the most painful things ever but WTF its a drift car!

I got the OMP adapter from Rotary Aviation. I have yet to install it though.

Also, I'm in the middle of making a V-mount because I'm too poor to buy one and I have a welder. It's the fun way anyhow.

I cut everything out

Here is the lower rad mount half-done

...welded to the car

Rad mocked up

Made some aluminum upper rad mounts and set the intercooler in its new home

Let me know what you guys think of this setup so far. I looked around at all the different ways people have done v-mounts and this is what my friend and I ended up creating. I am going to modify the inlet and outlet on my rad and box in my core support and weld mounts for the intercooler there. After everything is all plumbed up, there will be some sort of hood vent and a bunch of ducting. I just hope it all goes as smoothly as this much has gone. Although, it would be nice to have better tools. Everything so far has been made using only a sawzall, angle grinder, and welder. And lots and lots of measuring. "Measure twice, cut once."

Thanks guys! Im from Punxsutawney, land of the groundhog.
@Silver Comet: Lake County was quite the learning experience for me. It was my first time drifting near a wall haha. I had a lot of fun running tandem in practice but I was super bummed I didn't make it into the comp. My first qualifying run the dude before me dirt dropped and threw a huge dirt patch onto the tranny into the center of the track and I hit it and lost it and I think I was too psyched out in my second run. Wouldn't you know that my shittiest two runs were for qualifying :P. Oh well. At least my entrance speed was only like 2 mph off of Feiock. I was pumped about that.
