had some of the exterior put on today just to see how it would look. Im pretty pleased but i think ill buy some more agressive rims. We bought a pair of "wannabe" rays today for my friends silvia and they are REALLLY nice, and cheap. Im not sure if i want rims with polished edge or not, yet..
I like the way the hood became :)

I think that the blue looked the best out of all of them, but I really liked the orange too! Made it stick out a lot more

But hey that's just me... Keep that FC lookin' fine!

Sindregutt 03-18-08 05:17 PM

Ahh yea it sucked!
If another guy close by painted his FC the same blue color my old FC was i would`ve painted the streetFC in the same color. Now im going with some deep green color maybe..

TehMonkay 03-18-08 08:39 PM

What shade blue was the original one, innocent blue micah, looks similar, i think i already asked you that, lol.

Edit: yeah i did and i found what color it was, car looks great man.

afro88 03-19-08 11:46 AM

Your car reminds me of Kenji Takyama's (D1 driver) car from 2005. The orange is different. Will look BOSS when you are done.

Sindregutt 03-19-08 01:30 PM

:D cant wait! Going to finnish up the engine wiring now and play with photoshop and some decals later. Maybe order some chrome vinyl and stuff! Then im of to the mountains and some partying! I still hope i can finnish the car anyway this eastern !
My other friend in teh same "drift club" bought some fake rota rims today. They are aaawsome.. I cant understand why people buy real expensive brands for drifting haha, you`ll get 16 rims for the same prices as 4 real ones :D

Sindre

Sindregutt 03-19-08 04:41 PM

True! Many people here who is into drifting got alot of money so there are many insane cars here.
I aint got skills and i usually end up breaking something therfor i spend most of my money/time in the technical part.
Anyway people should do what they want. I dont care if people buy vinyls/paint/CF parts for thoouuusands on theire drift car, besides they probably blame me when we end up in the ditch together haha...

afro88 03-20-08 11:27 AM

Exactly. The people with 3k wheels have the money to do whatever they want. Trust me 95% of people who actually drift, if they had the money they would have all the expensive stuff too. Me? I'll just slap on some mustang rims and beat the shit out of them and save up for the WORKS later.

Just like in road racing. If everyone had the money for an ALMS car they most likely wouldnt be driving in Honda Challenge or HPDE.

Sindregutt 03-23-08 05:53 AM

Hehe yup!
Anyway! Back from the mountains and afterski :D Ready to get the car running. The car HAS to be mapped within two weeks. Im allready past the final deadline but thats nothing new :)
Todays plan is to finnish up the cage welds, paint some places inside the car, make a better seat mount and install everything. I was also planning to paint the dashboard matt black. Good ide?

damn great job man im envious. i don't have much money but will be building a drift fc an i don't car how long it takes... no short cuts. but seeing this makes me wanna spend. but non the less great job.

Sindregutt 03-28-08 05:33 PM

Cool! FCs got the really good old authentic drift look with the right setup :D
Ive spent alot of money on things i didnt need and because i got patient like... like.. i aint got patient at all...

Sindregutt 04-02-08 05:27 AM

Interior is almost finnish. 3 more wires and some covers on the sides and over the CBs. I also have to figure out whats trigger signal and what is coil select for the trailing coil :P Always forget that :wallbash:

Sindregutt 04-03-08 12:15 PM

Sindregutt 04-06-08 03:07 PM

Im gonna start the engine tomorrow. Hopefully everything works after i wired the fuelpump wire from the microtech wrong.. smelled like fried ecu :S
Btw, newbish Q but do you get oilpressure by just cranking the engine?

Sindre

Killert2 04-07-08 12:14 AM

yeah evryone i see cranks the engine without the egi fuse to buld oil pressure

Sindregutt 04-07-08 12:51 AM

Hmm strange, i was cranking it a few seconds but i didnt get any oilpressure at all :S

88rxn/a 04-07-08 08:52 AM

prime the oil pump. i had to remove the front oil cooler line and pour oil in the front cover to build pressure.

Sindregutt 04-08-08 12:33 AM

Thanks! I found your thread :) Gonna try that today!

Sindregutt 04-09-08 03:51 PM

Woho! car started today! I had done the coil wiring wrong but sorted it out :) No one of my new gauges works though, they didnt read any signal.
One other thing thats irritating is that my exhaust doesnt fit anymore!? How the hell could that happend. I have been changeing the engine mounts, but still. It is 10" to far at the rear sub-frame. Last year it was perfect!
License day is on sunday so i have to finnish it up asap.
