Is that a JL sub in the back? Looks identical to the one I am getting. 12" JL W6. Also I noticed that little blue remote. Is that one of those turbo timer, alarm, auto start combo things. I was looking at them but they seemed like they might be a little cheap and the remote bulky. If thats what it is how do you like it?

Yeah thats a JL sub and yeah i have a turbo timer/alarm/auto start "combo thing", i dont know how to use the turbo timer thing.. lol it doesnt make sense to me.... but everything else i like alot. It works like it's supposed to and i dont think it's bulky at all.

Cool thanks. I wanted to install auto start system in mine and those are a decent price so I may end up getting one. Plus mixed w/ a turbo timer I wont leave it in gear although I am fairly good about that already. Your 7's is looking great so far cant wait to see it finished.

Did you use some sort of paint on the "leather" portion of the door panels?

You don't need that turbo timer

way to prep it right ^_^ stripping it down to the shell and painting parts separately is the way to go. I can't wait to see it done.

Must be somewhat annoying to have to piece everything back onto the car to take it off or have to remask stuff, but the progress looks wicked. I'm jealous because I have to repaint my white S5 eventually..

So how did you go about modifying the door panels? I've been thinking about getting rid of that "**** carpet" **** and the bottom.

I got some leather/vinyl from a car stereo shop, looked pretty nice. I covered the bottom in regular box carpet for subwoofer boxes, looks pretty nice.

I would go w/ a dark gray cloth of some sort. It would probably need padding behind it to look good. Better finish soon Im anxious for the final results!
