they were from a Mazdaspeed 3, I dont know what the aussie equivalant would be?

I got them for a GREAT price, a price that if you had seen it online would think it was a scam, apparantly the guy had them listed for double the price and did not get a single craigslist response, he cut the price in half and I was the only one who responded.

He had them listed as: SPEED SEATS, I honestly looked at the ad just to goof on what seats were being sold ( remember the price was VERY cheap ) and was shocked when I looked at the pictures. I did a craigslist search for seats and was actually seeing if someone happen to have upgraded seats for sale for my pickup.

Hey yea you would be looking for the MPS seats if I remember right. Now if im wrong then what ever mazda calls the OEM turbo 3 that came out from about 07+ then thats the one you want.

That is awesome. Where did you get the carpet and how did you make the brackets? Are they still functional and sliding?

carpet I got years ago from a s5 vert that was being parted out, I also got the door panels from the same car and some other nice pieces.

The brackets I did not make, I had Wedge make, they made them to my specs and were very quick and nice to deal with. Of course everything is still sliding, its all fully bolted up and not rigged in any way. The brackets they made bolt to the factory holes in the floor, and the seats bolt to the brackets.

Awesome man. How much did the brackets end up costing. And is Wedge a company? Sorry just not sure.

I inquired with Wedge a couple days ago about getting seat brackets to install RX8 seats into my 2nd Gen and they responded that they only did brackets for aftermarket seats such as Sparco, etc. I am betting what you had them fab would be very similar to what I would need for an RX8 seat.

you need to call them and ask them to make you CUSTOM brackets, you give them measurements where you want them to drill and tap the holes for your seats.

You measure the distance of center of bolt-center of bolt, you need to come in around 16" or under, my boots came today from redline, crappy weather out but I think I will slip them on later.

I think they were $165 with the embroidery, he sells lighter weight mats, these are the heaviest mats he sells. They feel nicer then my other mats which I believe were made by the same company.

I dont even remember what they charged me, but I also paid for rush shipping

I think standard brackets were $95 and the custom were $105, when you see them they are very simple but if you dont have a set to go off its harder to explain to someone, and there is alot to be said for calling them and giving them a few simple bolt hole to bolt hole measurements and getting nice brackets in the mail that fit perfect, beats getting the run around from a local welder for such a small job
