my meshies got fat
They fattened up both in size and weight. You can feel the weight/width difference just driving down the street. I got a good deal on these but I doubt they will end up staying on the car. It's just too much for a NA vert.
BTW, the wheels are chrome Voxx Misanos. 17x8 front and 17x9 in the rear with 245-45-17 front and 275-40-17 rear.

I think it would look nicers with skinnier tires. Maybe some slightly stretched ones would work.
If you ever want to get rid of them ill take em haha..

Yeah, I can't do looks over functionality for too long myself. The wheels have already been pulled and the stock BBS are back on. It felt like a slug on the road in all aspects.
BTW, the offset is 20 at all four corners.

I'm confused? It's too much tire? I thought a large contact patch is good for handling?
Why would the car push any more than with other tires? It doesn't have a spool or welded diff.
It should grip fine with those tires you just need more power. I bet it would pull higher g forces with those tires than the stock skinnies...

Why in the hell do people keep wanting to put tiny tires on the back? At the very least, you could go big enough to match all you can fit out front (with appears to be a 245 in this case, though it's hard to see your fender clearance under compression in the pictures.)
I would agree that a slightly shorter (sidewall aspect) front tire would look better however, that setup looks a little "off" up front for some reason.
I'd think a 245/35/17 would clean up the look up front quite a bit.
I run a 275/40/17 out back (17x9 +35ET) and a 235/40/17 up front (17x7 +35ET), both fit fine and the stagger doesn't bother me a bit on the street. I do need the traction out back though.
Apparently everyone running the OMGWTFBBQ9000 stretch and poke setups aren't making any power or don't much care for traction...

Yes, that tall of a tire on an NA will really cut into the accelleration because it is lowering (numerically) the effective final drive ratio. Also, tire stagger that big will make a NA car push at the limit.
I had 245/45/17s in the rear and 235/40/17s in front all on 17X9 +24 wheels. The car pushed noticeably on corner exit, and it was hard to get the car to steer off power. It also felt a bit sluggish.
I switched to 235/40/17s in the rear and the car got thought the gears much better due to shorter effective final drive, and the push I had went away.
Aside from looks, staggered tires on an NA car is probably not needed. On a turbo car, or V8 swap, it is probably a good idea.
