yeah this is dk homie. that water pump is junk .no lie.
that shit failed harder then i failed high school

Turbo II Rotor 12-05-08 09:20 PM

That waterpump looks fine.

87 t-66 12-05-08 09:23 PM

the housing is also fine. the front looks fine. the rear is the only part that doesnt look that great but you can simply wipe that off with a rag. there is no corrosion to the metal. there is no rust on the outside either like you said (which doesn't matter anyway)

dkwasherexd 12-05-08 10:08 PM

well Im not going to risk it fuckin up a fresh rebuild. Im already getting tired of driving miles and miles and recycling cans for money for parts..Im just guna Save up for a new one. LOl why would I use a waterpump in this condition on a fresh rebuild.

stuuuuuuuupid.

dkwasherexd 12-07-08 02:05 PM

you really want the harness? Its totally unuseable, I took off the injector clips off it and a few other plugs to reconstruct the other harness. Pretty much bought two hacked harness and combined em to one good one. I mean if you really want it , Ill ship it to ya for w/e the shipping cost is.

drftwerks 12-07-08 02:07 PM

how are the wires, my harness now is totally brittle, but i have all my connectors.

dkwasherexd 12-07-08 02:27 PM

the wires are good. But its really difficult to narrow and trace to wrap down sections of the wriing harness or to even locate where the injector plugs are now. Its just meesyy and everywhere , your brain will explode! lol I would save $$ and buy a legit harness or save more $$ and get a BRAND new harness for about $600. They build new harnesses. Everything will be plugnplay and you wouldnt have to go through the stress of wiring..

drftwerks 12-07-08 02:30 PM

fuck i may just go to tthe yard, and get an na s4 good harness.

dkwasherexd 12-07-08 02:31 PM

oh yeah Corksport makes the harness

dkwasherexd 12-07-08 02:32 PM

yeah pick apart charged me $60 for the hacked harness, pocket the sensors tho, they charge like $15 a sensor. Find a good one man

drftwerks 12-07-08 03:13 PM

on their site corksport harness is 899, umm fuck that noise, if i can find the right wires, then i would make my own, not hard, plus i like electrical.

AcidAngel7477 12-08-08 12:01 AM

i saw this and dude, that water pump you sold him is nothing short of "shit" there's rust up the ass and TWO broken bolt's on the water pump housing..wtf is that about??..there's no way in hell i would let him use that on a rebuilt motor..and i picked up a BRAND NEW water pump for less then 60bux WITH a lifetime warranty..:icon_no2: unreal.

Circuit Theory 12-08-08 02:47 AM

that pump looks fine to me, no pitting on the housing either which is a great sign. If you are having to recycle cans for parts money I would reconsider using the Water pump you posted pics off. If you know any mechanics with half a brain they can get those bolts out for you most likely.
Still waiting to start countdown clock for this engine from start to blow.

there is 1 broken bolt from the aip pump bracket which the OP is not using which affects nothing other than the air pump. it takes 2 fucking seconds to drill a bolt out.

one of the bolts on the THERMOSTAT HOUSING was broken WHICH I DIDNT FUCKING CHARGE HIM FOR AND WHICH HE DIDNT FUCKING NEED. STFU.

you are the one who assembled the first shitty motor which blew right? right?!?

exactly. you are recycling pop cans and trying to own a turbo fc? :ugh2: good luck with that. you gotta pay to play man. the whole car/swap is a hack job. probably would have been a better idea to save for all the parts you need and do it right the first time. would have been cheaper in the end.

pengarufoo 12-08-08 09:47 AM

Coming from IL the pump and housing looks fairly normal, but now owning an absolutely spotless 200,000 mile CA Miata and getting more experience with this place I can see how someone from SoCal might react negatively to receiving that water pump and housing.

People here (in California) don't know what rust is.

Hypertek 12-08-08 01:05 PM

moral of story- dont buy used water pumps, thats like buying a used battery or fuel pump, you shouldnt expect it to last very long... its luck of the draw lol

AcidAngel7477 12-08-08 07:28 PM

^^ i dont understand why he cant face a fuck up..it happens. and for your information that motor dident blow it overheated due to a bad water seal..dumb fuck. so :fawk: you and STFU..:pow:

rx7fitz 12-08-08 11:52 PM

AcidAngel7477 12-09-08 07:27 PM

Turbo II Rotor 12-09-08 08:02 PM

Quit your bitching that water pump is fine. He payed for a used pump and received a used pump. I don't see what the problem is. :dunno:
