My first FC

Hey guys,

Just bought a new s4 FC for myself after so many years of dreaming about one. I've been a rotor head for a long time now, but have only just recently saved enough money to buy my dream car!

I have to give all of the credit for modifying the car to Ben in Adelaide who works at REVS (rotary engine vehicle specialists) who did an awesome job modifying it properly. Cheers Ben.

I love this car so much, and damn it is so much faster than I expected!

It is an s4 shell with s5 engine and wiring and all the goodies of an s5.

The engine was rebuilt 1500km's ago with new SCR apex seals, gaskets and seals and also had a race extended port done at the time. It is dumping through a full 3" exhaust. No cat and no emissions gear!

Ben has done a great job, he detailed the engine bay parts in black to make it all look stealth. It still retains the stock ECU, plumbback BOV, TMIC and turbo. It laid out 170 rwKw on the dyno recently.

Here's a list of the mods:

Brand new K and N air filter
Full 3 inch exhaust through to custom stainless lobster back exhaust tip
boost bleed running 12psi.
Knight Sports fuel cut defender (allows more boost with stock ecu)
Engine and manifolding all detailed in black
Brand new spigot bearing and engine mounts
Brand new battery and recored radiator
Brand new cushion button extreme clutch
5 speed gearbox
new bushes in gearstick
Car has been resprayed
Dark blue duco (nice colour!)
Immaculate (for age) grey interior
power windows
tinted windows
alarm/central locking
Sony USB MP3 CD stereo and kenwood speakers
19 inch STARCORP wheels (in very good condition!!!!!)
good tyres
Ive fitted new front and rear struts and springs since owning it. Front suspension has camber adjustment.
Lowered springs
Series 5 LSD
New front wheel bearings
New longer wheel studs on front
black painted brake calipers
replaced steering rack
good gas struts in hatch (rare)
All fluids brand new (engine oil-Motul, gearbox oil, diff oil, coolant, p/steer) New fuel filter and efi hose
New spark plugs
wheel alignment set up for handling
Rebuilt clutch slave cylinder and new clutch rubber line
Malpassi adjustable fuel pressure reg

Here are some pictures I took of her, enjoy!

My friend bought an S3 at the same time so we cruised back from Adelaide to Melb! awesome

I love this car! me inside

My brother and I with goofy goaty

really nice! welcome to the rotary community.

might i add that the rim design is really nice however they are a little too big for my taste, if you ever get competitive you will also begin to realize that you should go down to maybe 17" or possibly 16"

Thanks for the welcome and comments dudes!

Will keep that note on the rims in mind Shadow 7, although I don't plan on turning it into a race car until a few years time

Thanks mate, yeah over hear they are called either a "lobster tail" or "dump pipe" (not to be confused with down-pipe) :P

This one was custom made by Ben at REVS workshop

Oh yeah and forgot to add on the list of modifications:

A 500hp walbro in tank pump
A custom solid diff mount cause the standard ones are prone to breaking

Here's some more pics for ya's

Engine bay, looks really standard. A lot of the parts have been detailed black to keep it that way. Not so happy with how the TMIC has been painted, most likely reducing it's heat transfer capacity but I've heard otherwise!

Nice and clean!

How much did you pay for it?

I think you need some S5 tails and the S4 wing!

Yo,

Yeh I don't know of any company's that sell them hey, mine was custom made by Ben at REVS in Adelaide... I don't think it would cost that much to have one welded one as a tip ! I can get more pictures for you if you like m8

I paid 13k Australian dollars hey. Still feel I paid to much but that's life! lol

Yeh, I will be on the lookout for s5 tail lights... haven't seen many for sale though. I wanna get em and do that mod on them, will look sick as. I don't mind the s5 lights for the mo tho' :P

Looks great! Plans?
First up is a vented hood and V-mount intercooler kit from aseturbo.com

Looking at, for the future, a turbo kit from aseturbo.com as well with the T04Z to make 350 rwkw. I think I'll be very happy with that
