yeah bro... no need to be ashamed of that. It's the road up to the summit in the park. There are around 12 hairpins like that and worse. It's a park road. No need to speed, just play it safe and enjoy the views. Standing on the edge and taking pictures was a rush w/ wind gusts.

The anemometer on the bridge was reading 67mph gusts when I was up there. lol. I'll have more shots of the roads here in a bit. Looks like the cascading terraced hairpin'd roads of Japan w/ crazy sharp jagged peaks!

Some great shots in there. The 50/1.8 lens is one amazing piece of glass, especially for the price.

You have inspired me to get out and take a little day trip and go shooting(camera not pistol, lol).

haha awesome man! This next batch is going well! I am really happy with it and can't wait to post it. Should be ready in an hour to throw a couple more up. It includes some of the roads and other peaks. Some more of my FC and some from hiking as well.

Man I love them. It's been so long since I've taken a day by myself to do exactly what I want to do. Your trip is up there with a perfect day for me as well.

Shots are great, your eye for composition is still awesome and your post production owns me. Lulz. Sorry to nut ride, just bored and jealous!

What's next after the D80?

I'm hopefully going to pick up the D90 here in a week or two. I shopped around a lot and was set on a D2x or D300. But the D90 brand new is cheaper than others used, and has the same sensor as the D300 with better high ISO capabilities.

Throw in live view, the huge LCD screen from the D3's, video clips, and the light weight, and you've got a real winner in my mind. I'd really rather have the D700 but I'm looking to spend less then 2grand.

Wow thats awesome. I wish I could do something like that, but Calgary doesn't have any mountains =[ I'd have to drive to Banff I think.
