Just a suggestion...

Replace that thermostat neck while you have the car in pieces. Mazdatrix has an aluminum one for $75 plus like $5 for the o-ring. Mine suddenly cracked all of the way up the side one day and exploded on me (the original plastic garbage). Just be careful with those bolts and replace them when you put the new neck on, as they are really weak and the heads like to shear off when you re-torque them.

Few other suggestions...

Replace every vacuum hose you can. Nothing is more troublesome and irritating like tracing down a vacuum leak. Next, if I am looking at it right, your plug wires look either realing long or routed funny. I'd reroute those in the stock configuration. Next, the thermowax on the TB. It is an expensive sucker ringing in at $100 but man does it make a huge difference in idle stability. Last but not least, do a really good inspection of your coolant hoses and replace all of the ones that either look really old or are suspect. Heater hose #1 on the driver side firewall should ALWAYS be replaced during a rebuild. You lose that hose and you lose your motor relatively quickly as it drains the hot side of the rear rotor dry almost instantly.

Enough with the suggestions though.

I love the intercooler piping, it looks really nice and so does the way you mounted it in the front.

Piping on the first pic is just a test fitting. It's all welded up now but just no recent pictures.

I'm just trying to think of a way to protect the front mount. I'd hate for all the jersey bugs to get sucked up in it.

Where's the Big turbo? What turbo is in there, looks like a hybrid.. and you hacked the **** out of the front bumber cover, ouch.

I feel your turbo might be too small for that huge IC. Good luck though... What are you doing for engine management?

i was expecting something like a 42r. I see a 62-1 as a common turbo upgrade

Holy F! I thought it looked like a medium sized turbo in the engine bay but in comparison to the gallon of milk that thing is huge!

I love that intercooler and I think you did a good job cutting up the stock bumper. Are you sure you're going to need that big of an intercooler?

It does look alot smaller in the engine bay. Mostly cause it sits so low. I would to love run a bigger turbo than this but I only have a street port, and I think this would be a good match.
I'm looking for 400-450 so it should be easily obtainable with this setup.

Cutting the bumper was a heartache. I loved my stock s4 bumper for a long time.. but it had to be cut. I really really don't want to put any body kits on it. But in the end, I am happy with how it looks... except for the black eye haha
