heh, I believe that 1/4" tools are superfluous.. 3/8": 8mm, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, an adaptor to use a 1/2" breaker bar, classic rock on the radio, "a bigger hammer", propane torch, the highest lifting [low profile] jack you can find [19" is my minimum pref.]..

I think that's most of the big stuff?

Ratcheting wrenches in 10, 12, and 14mm sizes.
Universal joints with 3" and 6"extensions.
8, 10, and 12 (I think that's the largest one on the car) mm flare nut wrenches
A minimum 4 lb. sledge
Impact driver (?), the one that's used with the 4lb sledge.

I just got my first set of ratcheting Gear Wrenches and I love them! I've been tinkering on my RX-7s for years without them and I wish I hadn't waited. They're great for fitting in places that the socket wrench won't.

I'll add an oxygen sensor socket to the list. I made my own by filing out a notch in one of the corners of the 1/2" drive hole to allow the sensor's wire to slip through while the ratchet is engaged. It would probably have been easier to just buy a real one, but at the time I think I was in a hurry.

I like the idea of this thread haha.
My main ones:
breaker bar...love this thing
pb blaster
socket set
harbor freight low pro jack
jackstands

Btw, just curious, how do you guys torque/tighten the front diff mount bolts. I can get them tight with a ratchet and some extensions but it's never tight enough to hold it in place. Wonder if I'm missing something.

Diagnostic tools

Ima try to put the tools into different categoriz this is the first diagnostics:

-spark tester ( wana know if ur getting spark? Best way to find out)
-starting fluid (if you don't know if ur car is getting fuel this will help you find out)
-compression tester (you think you got a blown apex seal? This will help you confirm your fears)
-digital multi meter (this will help you find our if you are getting voltage on that one certain wire)
-TPS adjuster tool (one of the fastest and easiest ways to adjust your TPS)
-work shop manual (wana know how to take apart and put ur rx7 back together step by step? This is for you)
