Land Of The Rising Sun... (Roof...)
So this is an idea I've had dating back to a few years ago when I was shopping around for Supra's. I had planned on doing it to the Targa top, but the Supra I ended up with (Which I was totally in love with) ended up not having one. Then I got the 7 and I immediately thought of my idea again. This Saturday (the 29) my awesome idea came to be reality! I've never seen this done before and I'm really happy with it!
Prepping the roof (Cleaning, Sanding off old rust, Cleaning, Polishing, Cleaning again...):
What she looked like:
All clean and ready to start!
Begin:
Whoops! Back up... Begin Again!
Popping air bubbles...
Smoothing it out...
The Finished Product!
I think it's pretty dope...
The graphic is printed on an outdoor vinyl. It's as much an experiment for my dad as it is an awesome decal for my car. I'm sure you're all familiar with the idea of vinyl wrapping a car, every downtown bus has one, and recently State Farm has started wrapping a few cars. My dad works out of the house as a large format digital printer, and recently started entertaining the idea of doing a few vehicle wraps (mainly for his 86 GTI which is in dire need of a paintjob... But why paint when you can wrap!!). This isn't the official stuff that you're SUPPOSED to use, but it should work well and we'll see how it holds up.
I don't have any full shots of the car yet, cause it started raining about two hours later and hasn't stopped yet, two days later... I'll get some as soon as I can...
I'm extremely proud of the way it turned out... What do you guys think?

The decal didn't cost me anything, My dad printed it off for me which I explained in my first post...
Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing but I don't wanna go overboard... I was thinking maybe more of the same on the mirrors? What do you think I should do?
