Junkyard score
I went down to get an air pump and some other things and found these on a crashed SE.
Got the entire set for $130 out the door. I was thinking of selling them, but i've wanted/needed new shocks and springs for a long time so I'm gonna put them on the car Monday.
Anyone know about adding some camber by turning the strut tower tops? I've heard about it and might try it since I'm putting new ones on.

Got them on. Took me about 3 hours doing it myself in this wonderful 100 degree weather. Popping the rear shocks is easy and probably took about 25 minutes of my time to do both with the majority of the time spent getting the lug nuts off the tires.
The fronts however, were a different story. After putting the driver side on with little to no trouble I set off to tackle the passenger side. I had a very hard time getting the shock to make up with the hub. I jacked it up a bit more and it finally budged.
Anyways, the ride is a lot smoother now. Bumps and potholes are absorbed, whereas before it was a more jolting experience since the shocks were worn out. I also feel the new setup woke the car up. It's a more lively in the sense that the rear is easier to break loose when you want, but also stays put when you don't. I feel a bit more confident taking corners and realize I need better rubber to take advantage of the new setup. Hopefully next time I go to the junk yard i'll find some Racing Beat anti-sways and a strut tower bar.
Visual evidence
All I need is some Turbo II or BBS vert rims and I'll be happy.
