The ONLY way you can legally register the car unless its an R33. The R33 is the only Nissan Skyline to ever pass United States crash protection ratings. Its a HUGE hassle. I was looking for a multi page article I read a year back that explained the process and reasoning perfectly. I ran into this on my search:
