RXVERT Always in progress
Personally I like bright red, like a Ferarri or the stock Mazda red , or a fire engine red, thats what, I think, represnts, a sport car, and granted, its true, that birght red attracts the, police real easy, but A Good driver is always aware of his surroundings (blind sides and behind ), besides, it boils down to, it any car, any color, speeding, could easily get a ticket. So Be Daring? However if its truly customized on the outside then any color , flat black, shiny or candy colors will do, thats why its called custom, its different. Remeber in the long run , you have to live with the color you pick.

Maroon or very dark purple
also PPG metallic paints can be $100 a gallon. 1:1 with reducer youre in only $130.
another $70 for Omni epoxy primer, tape plastic and sandpaper is $40. a gallon of clear and a quart of hardener is $100
$340 total in material
Anyways a maroon or purple fc is WIN!!! especially on white wheels

You do still have to clear coat it.
Personally I would not go cheap on paint and definitly not cheap on primer, the amount of labor to paint a car and the impact it can have on resale is not worth going cheap.
I would rather buy a original paint car that NEEDS paint over a car that was painted with cheap paint and painted half assed. Im not saying that his car is going to be painted half assed im just making a statement thats all.

I think you are talking about PPG Omni, that is a less expensive line of paint, that is a single stage urethane, its not 1:1, but it does run about $125 for 5 quarts of RTS material.

PPG Omni is a economical line of paint, it could be a decent paint, but the point is its more then $75 in materials for this job, and I still stand by my statement that I would not use it as a metallic on a whole car paint job. I mean maybe if it was a track or drift car that is going to get banged up anyhow and you really dont care too much.
I say that based on 15 years of painting and repairing other people's work.

haha yea im only 20 and have painted 3 cars lol. and we drift all three so they look good on Firebird raceway and Phoenix International raceway but definately not top of the line. For the price and considering ive done less than 10 hours of painting it works.
i just got into painting cuz my car looked like crap with stock peeling paint... now its definately a head turner
kinda sounds like this guy is on a budget, gotta work with your income. i tried but ended up spending $1000 my second trip to the paint shop... got some great guns though and so far its been worth the money
