The whole body is actually fairly straight. No dents anywhere really. This is the original paint. my only problems are with the front bumper, the fenders were some jackhole strapped the car down to a trailer, and that spot.

Today I recieved the last of the parts that I ordered on wednesday. The first thing I recieved was my clear teflon tubing and clips, but I wasn't able to snap a pic of them. I got 7 feet of tubing and 9 clips.
Saturday, I got my TII fuel pump from JTPShaw(Todd).

And about an hour ago, I got my gastket set from RotaryResurections. Seems to all be here. I just wish I knew where all the little things went.

I was told that it is a S4 TII pump. And it was tested before it was sent.

The pump was what I pulled from my 87 TII tank. It was pumping plenty of fuel for the street ported turbo setup the previous owner had. I was told nothing in the fuel system was changed from stock. It fit perfectly in the stock in-tank bracketry.

Gordon, you definitely have your work cut out for you. If you need some help, shoot me a PM, I'll do what I can from here.

I'd like to mention that I'll be selling the red dash, doorpanels, and rear carpet and stuff. So if anyone wants any of that stuff let me know. I need the money for the other things I actually need. I'll take everything out and get some good pictures for everyone.

This was a rather successfull day. I took everything out of the car and laid it all out. Unfortunately, I only took one picture. I was in a time crunch.
When I did this, I found something really disturbing. And I'll get into that when I go back over tomorrow, with pictures.

What I'd really like to tell everyone who reads this, is today I met with a Wyotech Rep. We talked about everything, and as of today, I am an official Wyotech student. My core program, automotive, starts in August, and my specialty class will be Street Rod and Custom Fabrication.

I'd also like to make known, that I will be 17 on December 6. So, in theory, I will be graduated from Wyotech, certified, and most likely have a high paying job, by the time my class graduates from high school. I have to say this has been my dream for as long as I can remember.

Let me know if your willing to ship them. I'm really looking for TII seats, regardless of condition.

Today I worked on the car for about 10 hours. I started Doing little things. Took everything out again. Then installed the seat belts and everything, installed my e-brake handle and cables, and throttle pedal. I got the rear end up and the wheels off. Inspected everything and found that my sway bar endlinks are not mounted. Then on the passenger side, I'm missing the entire "panard"? bar.So the whole swing arm assembly rocks side to side. Then I found the reason why my clutch pedal just shoots to the floor and stays there: The push rod wasn't attatched, so I removed the clutch master cylinder and hopefully I can find a solution for it soon. Yesterday I mounted my passenger side door panel.

Then I started gravitating towards the engine bay. I installed some temporary headlights just to fill the holes. I removed the snorkle, upper radiator hose, fan, and fan shroud. Then I removed the fuel rails and packaged each injector seperatly so that I can send them to WitchHunter when I'm ready. I unbolted the intercooler bracket, egr valve, and ... that thing on the inner side of the lim, lol. I forgot. It got really dark by this time, but I kept going and removed the LIM and rat's nest. The engine was/is REALLY filthy. I still have a lot of dirt and grease to remove with brushes. After these pictures, I opened up an entire can of carb cleaner on the engine. It got a lot off, but still needs a good scrubbing.

I need to get my shop vac over to where the car is so that I can remove stuff from in and around the engine openings. Then I can tape them up and get to scrubbing and painting. I need to strip the intake manifolds so that I can install my block-off plates. I'd like to find a way to scrub my intake runners because they look terrible.

Tomorrow, I'll remove the water pump and maybe the radiator to flush it out. Before installing everything, I'd like to clean everything up really good and spray some high heat paint on some parts. And try to clean all the bolts without them getting mixed up.

I think that's it. Now for some pictures.

This is the disturbing thing I found yesterday. It appears to me like the metal was cut, like someone was going to take this mount off, but decided not to. So I know a professional welder, I am going to ask him to brace this for me and make it safe. I can also bounce on it(I only weigh 145) and it flexes really badly.

Pictures...

Lunchtime update*
I've been cleaning lots of things.
I got the water pump and housing off, I might just replace the pump with a new or rebuilt one. It looks pretty bad. I took all of my spark plugs out and noticed that they were covered in oil. I'm not sure what that means. Turning the main pully with my hands, I get a strong puff of air every whole turn of the main pully, on both rotors. I removed the hard lines on the firewall that go to the charcoal canister.

I'll sell the cruise control actuator, module, and switch; all emmissions equipment, and anything that Im taking off so let me know if anyone needs that stuff.

I'll have pictures later, this internet connection suuuccckkkksss.

Here are the pictures from yesterday.

Waterpump houseing comeing off. Ill clean this up as much as I can, sand it down, and paint it. Then replace the thermostat, the sensor/senders, and plug the outlet on the back.

Heres the water pump. I'm just going to replace it with a new or rebuilt one.

Can anyone tell me where Im supposed to mount this? It was hanging loose.

Heres the engine after only a couple hours, two cans of carb cleaner, 1/4 can of engine degreeser, and two wire brushes. lol

I still have a lot more cleaning and painting to do before I can start installing things.

I got a neat part in the mail yesterday, but I failed to take a picture.

I love mystery and suspence. lol I have to hit the engine bay with simple green before I start installing things. And I won't clean the car until I can drive it. The perks of working at a car wash.

Hey Gordon, if that is a Stant thermostat, it will wreak havoc on your cooling system. If it is a Stant radiator cap, it will suffice, in a pinch, but do yourself a favor and replace it with a factory Mazda. For some reason, rotaries and Stant don't ever work well together. It had been awhile since I used Stant products (over 5 years) and decided to try one in my son's TII. Straight out of the box, the thermostat failed and nearly overheated my setup. Mix that with the Fluidyne cap I was running, and we had a nice explosive cooling system. Thankfully, it only took out the plastic S5 thermostat housing.

Replaced the thermostat and cap with a new Mazda one, and replaced the S5 thermostat housing with a metal 13B1 unit and everything is all good now. You can do a search about the Stant caps/thermostats and read the uselessness. But, hey, you like mystery and suspense you say, drop this one in maybe it will work............maybe it won't.

Oh, and you know not to use that carb spray on your throttle body, right?
