Flared FC (bolt on flares)? opinions?
sorry if this is a re-post (I searched and didn't find anything).
I don't see a lot of FC's with bolt on flares so I was wondering what it would look like. This is the only pics I've found that has the standard "bolt on" flares on an FC. The flares themselves look a little too rounded to me but if they were extended down to the bottom of the side skirt and bumpers and a little flatter, I think it would be an interesting look. apparently no ones doing it so it's definitely unique.lol. opinions guys?
the last pic is an AE86 with the classic flared look found on a lot of them. I think it would look good if the flares were flat like these except go all the way down.

that white one doesn't look bad at all. seems like a lot of these boxy style cars do the flares like that and I found it unusual that not a lot of FC guys go the flare route. the body of the FC is similar in design to a lot of cars.
those flares would be nice to make a wide body out of. just get a wider front and extend the flares down around the wheel. I think it would look sweet but who knows. Thanks for posting up the pic, I haven't found any flared FC's on the site through searching.
edit: Actually, it's like fc guys just aren't partial to flares. there are tons of FB's with them and there are a ton of different styles for the FD that people use. guess us FC guys just wanted to be anti flare?lol. just an observation, speaking in generalities of course.

F**K THE SYSTEM!!
I hate the purp one and love the white one.
I would flare before i widebody.
Flares are lighter than wide bodies.(smaller and no bondo) and it can fit just as big of a tire.

the only thing about the white one is that the flares don't go all the way down in front of the wheel which defeats the purpose for me. if it isn't in front of the wheel then you might as well not put them on in the first place. I guess it still looks good though, but it is just for looks in my book.

well, you make a valid point. it does serve the purpose of fitting wider tires with out rubbing. still, if I went with flares, I would bring the flare all the way to the bottom of the fender in the front to divert air flow around the wheel.

the flares on that white 240 is what I'm talking about for an FC. I think it would look sweet but almost nobody does it on FC's. idk what it is but FC guys, they either go regular body kit or wide body fenders and all that. hardly anyone flares. lots of nissan guys flare so I was just wondering if the FC just looked like crap with flares and thats why they don't. I think it would look great with flares like the 240 above has. maybe I'll flare mine like that. probably just draw up some sketches first to get an idea of the look so I don't do it and then think "ya, uh...no" and then take it all off.lol. thanks for posting up the pics.
heres another flared nissan I found online. I think the back flares might go too far forward for an FC though. it would go onto the door and you would have to cut the door line in.
