taurus lip...
customized a lip off a early 90's ford taurus. not bad for $7 and a hour or so to mount.
not completly done, need to shave the ends off, they stick out into the wheel well about an inch, and then maybe some more working the corners with the heat gun to fit flush.
feedback welcome

I swap. Do you?
Finally installed my Rob XX 7 lip I bought over 3 years ago.
Was unfinished/unpainted. I just applied Armor All to match the molding.

bikedad- there might be enough gelcoat on there that you can lightly sand and polish it if you like it glossy. I spray a mold release into the mold when I make them so they dont come out shiny due to that. I did offer a high gloss gelcoat option what I did with those is I would put double the black gelcoat on them and when they came out of the mold I would polish them.

Unfortunately I didn't have it installed to withstand speeds over 150mph. (Elkhart Lake Road America)
It snapped in the center from the down force. The passenger side ground down pretty far. Too far to save.
I'll probably be ordering another one from you in the near future if you're still making them.
The next one I'll be adding an aluminum frame to the underside to withstand the air pressure.
If you look close at this picture you can see it flapping pretty good and that's just coming off a turn at about 100mph.

My original lip that I used to make the mold was at least 3 times heavier than the one I was putting out. The first few I sold People were complaining they weren't "flexible enough" so I made them lighter and with more percentage of flexible resin- problem with that is they obviously become more flimsy as well. Unfortunately you cant have it all- a really strong piece that's also flexible. At least its not a GTR lip my buddy bought for $1800 that I had to try to piece back together for him.
I can stiffen the center up, add some heavier glass to them, and if you are tracking the car the struts are a good idea or even if you added a small spacer in the middle so could bolt up through it onto the bumper to keep it stiffer. Bikedad- if you end up wanting another one Ill make it special for you and half price- and cover the shipping how's that? If you still have the pieces of the old lip and wanted to use it for template to cut some alum for the center I can even glass it in if you send it to me beforehand.

I think that go pro footage would go nice in the FC track video thread. never mind the lip. Hell, you can see daylight through the hood scoop in that picture!

Could you PM me your Paypal? (and total cost)
I'll send the money right away. The car is just sitting in the garage right now doing nothing. I finished the Ronin 8.8 diff swap and waiting for the salty roads to clear up.
I really liked how the lip looked and received a lot of complements on it.
