Fc ownership = relationship troubles?

Just wondering if you other fc owners are so zealous about your vehicles because you have no luck with relationships what so ever....
I love my s5, but it just seems that if I had a real relationship that some of that love might disappear.
I mean I do call it my baby and make love to it on the touge (used to... another week and it'll run again.)
Just curious...
I sort of got into cars myself because it was the closest to a girl I could get, haha.

HAHAHAHAHA oh man sorry this is gonna be good...*grabs popcorn*

I have a GF who loves my car and she knows I love it more than she could ever. Being a FC owner never interfered with my ability to pick up girls. Now with that being said, the girls I date are all different...some love cars some dont but they all know one thing: My FC is my hobby and if they cant respect it, they need not apply haha

But your car is a direct reflection of you and who you are so try to keep it clean and running right. Worst thing is to have your FC break down in the middle of a date. best thing is when you take a chick up some twisties showing off your mad touge skills and impress her haha seriosuly, girls love that stuff

Most girls I date are relatively car savvy and love the 7. One of my exes actually owned a sapphire blue GXL. When it came down to it though, when my fiancee left me after three years she used the car as one of her many excuses. The truth however is that she decided to get with an un loyal friend.

If the girl isn't down with the car than she doesn't understand your passion for them. However, owning an rx7 is kinda like being addicted to heroin. For some people it never stops. Every car that I have owned since I started driving (except for the new daily) has been a 7. I haven't been without one in 6 years.

Girls love boost, and the rush though :P Some get queasy from the awesome handling though remember that.

My girl friend hates it when i drive my fc instead of my lancer. the only thing she likes about it is that it is cute. (then again she is asian, so anything small car like an fc is cute to her) She says she hates it because its loud when i start it up and that she is afraid its just going to break down on us one day. :/

Tell her the day the car breaks down, you and her are through. Maybe she will become interested in helping maintain the car?

Sorry man I have never had an issue with my car interfering in a relationship. I have been with my wife for over 16 yrs & have owned two of my 7's for over 14 yrs. If you are bad with women don't blame it on your interest or dedication to your car.

I got my wife because of my RX-7s, despite the fact that she doesn't care for it and doesn't do much with cars except put fuel in them and drive...

The car and the woman are two totally separate entities and should be treated as such.

Anyone who has relationship troubles due to a car needs to start dating more mature women...
Notice I specify relationship troubles only... if your relationship is strained because of your financial troubles and those are related to the car, then it's time to sit down and think about things.

Lol.....
Oh, and I might want to make it clear.
I am awkward with girls and that is why I always fail. haha
This was just more about if anyone else loves their car so much because they can't have a real relationship?

My GF first car was a rx-7 years before I met her. So if anything, she got into it first before I did. Her father owns a 3rd Gen as well, and now I have a rx7 myself so she is totally cool with it. She understands the amount of time and $ needed to take care of the car. She even warned me about it before I purchased it.

Having the rx-7 common interest with her father makes my relationship with him sooo much easier. Thats all we talk about when I see him.

Guess I'm lucky.

surprisingly she wants to help me work on my car (oil changes and tune ups) but she is always busy going to class. Maybe one day I will do a T2 swap and she can help me by holding the flashlight... it will be romatic

Eh.
My wife always says I give my cars more attention than she gets. But she also never gets "enough" atention so it's alright. You have to keep them wanting YOU and do it right.

My girlfriends ex had an FD before she met me (coincidence by making a rotary related post on facebook).

She knows they are special and that they require attention and doesnt mind giving me a hand. She wrenches on it when she feels like trying something after watching me. AND I even have her changing her own oil now too!

So one day i bought my FC. My gf loved the car! She named it shaquonda because it has been passed around my city several times like a hooker. During the summer i spent so much time working on the 7 that i had no time to chill with her. There were some days were she would say you never want to hang out with me your always working on shaquonda why dont you **** her then! she didn't talk to me for a couple of days because i was wired on the car. she started to ignore me. i got really horny and couldn't take it anymore. then i started having sexual intercourse with my rb exhaust. i felt sick to the the stomach. i had to go to the doctor because gas went up my pee hole. i was then diagnosed with testicular cancer and objectum sexuality . i was shocked and scarred. i had to tell the gf that i cheated on her with my rb exhaust.

dont have sex with material things like this girl

huh this is something to think about. My ex loved my car she also thought it was cute like asian girls. But girls at school think my car is nice. I constantly get offers to sell my car and when i told a girl I know the conversation went like this.

me: "I got another offer to sell my car today"
girl: "who wouldn't want to buy your car, it's really nice"
me: "haha, most girls think its too old"
girl: "what year is it?"
me: "89"
girl: "well it don't look old and I like it"
me: "I'll give it to you"
girl: giggles "no you wouldn't shut up don't tease"

another girl, we were looking at my car from the school window.

girl: "Is it your car"
me: "yeah, that's my baby"
girl: "haha, your baby?"
me: "I put alot of work into it, so I take really good care of it, like a baby"
girl: "oh,are you going to paint it?"
me: "it looks pink doesn't it?"
girl: "yeah but it's still cool"
me: "what color do you like"
girl: some weird white color she said can't remember lol
me: "ok, I'll paint it that color just for you and I'll give you a ride"
girl: "ok, you better!"

to sum it all up, the car doesn't get the girls, its the driver

my fiancée hates my car. well not so much the car itself, but the way i drive it. i pretty much have to promise to "behave" when she's riding in it, or she'll follow me in her cherokee to wherever we're going.

lol great stories guys!

My girlfriend doesn't really care either way about my daily FC.. An old friend of mine pointed out that I had more pictures of the cars than of the GF, when I told her said she didn't care and would rather that I take pictures of the car all the time than of her. lol.. [She's shy]

Oh and she keeps asking when I'm going to get my Turbo proj. done.. [91' Package A coupe, doing a turbo swap on it.. It was stripped down to the body[even had the sound deadening removed!] and painted before I got it.. Black, black int, cargo cover, headlight squirters, door lock light, leather interior, etc.. All I have to do is put it together..]

Also, I think the car work actually makes our relationship better.. It keeps me from giving my GF too much attention and being creepy. [We're both clingy, but much more on my side..] lol...

lmao!

I suspect my GF is jealous of my car [Naomi] then again she's the jealous type. However the car has seniority lol. I've told her there are only 2 women in my life she must get along with, and the other is my mother.

I have a feeling things will change when I finish with the "build up" phase and move on to the driving phase, I'll have her auto x ing that Solara in no time!

I know how you feel. I have put more blood, sweat, and tears into that car than I have in any other endeavor in my life. Not that it causes any problems however. I'm an engineering nerd, we don't really do relationships.
