Tyler [S5 FC] 05-14-10 05:59 PM

No offense, cuz I LOVE your car, but it needs to be at least another 1.5 inches lower for this thread... I'm just sayin

Rob XX 7 05-14-10 06:15 PM

it does look high in that picture

As it is I scrape the exhaust sometimes, im good with it. Im too old for the stretched tire and way too low look

Rob XX 7 05-14-10 08:05 PM

I was excited to get my spacer on the rear wheels, was looking more for offset critique.
Maybe another 1/2" lower in the future, but I need to drive this thing again to justify it.

Got it ready tonight for a Supra Vs RX7 car show this weekend, hope its a good turnout

Hypertek 05-14-10 08:12 PM

i respect you for doing it, looks good.

Your getting there and it looks good. Being more flush with the body makes it look so much nicer.

I'm all for flushness, real flushness, as in bring the edge of the rim out the the fender and a mild stretch, but all this crazy camber and overly stretched tire crap is just getting ridiculous now. It's surpassed looking good and now everyone's just taking it farther and farther just to say they did it the most (just like the horsepower battles of 5 years ago, you know, all the 1200hp Supras and twin turbo 4 cylinders).

Sorry to derail yet another one of these threads, but seeing that kind of stuff called 'proper' and 'the way these cars were meant to look' is aggravating. Start calling it something else and people won't get as mad .

Here's some nice fitment:

Please show me in my first post in this thread that I mentioned anything about tires being streched or at anytime in the thread. Nor did I ever mention anything about having excessive negative camber. Your are entitled to your opinion but dont put words in my mouth. I simply described Proper fitment as cars being lowered with flush wheels which is exactly what the picture you just posted is.

ok, it's a JDM trend. That doesn't mean it won't look absurdly dated in a couple years. I don't have the cash to be a slave to fashion, and automotive fashion is no different than clothing fashion.

Started in Germany.

Rob XX 7 05-16-10 10:35 AM

Only now thanks to the miracle of the internets are we seeing for the very first time what the elusive JDM god wanted us to see, we are blessed with them sharing their ancient secrets with the rest of the world and their measly wide eyes

All hail JDM, if they paint a huge purple cock down the side of their car all is proper and joyful in the world

s2kguy17 05-16-10 04:04 PM

look at this flushness i saw yesterday with a half inch gap....jk this is something i dont like, and think its to much..
