running no emmisions (ie no catalytic converters, upgraded exhausts etc), and yes running rich will help

my stock exhaust would pop a little around redline revving dont know about flame.....then putta full exhaust on....once you pop the fun dont stop 1-2.5 flames fun

......plus its changes the game a little when people tailgate you

Rotarys fall horribly short of reaching a complete burn so there is a ton of raw fuel after the power stroke. Unless you invent some way to make the engine burn a higher percent of the fuel you are injecting into your engine your car will shoot flames.

With a proper tune it will probably only flare up after a couple full boost pulls to redline. If you are babying it you should not attract any cops.

This thread reminded me of probably my favorite picture of an RX-7. It was a Blue one, mid drift...you could see the camera rack on the roof and it had the end of a fireball coming out of the end..

It was my wallpaper for such a long time!
