Smells like 2 stroke.
Did they even make a 10th AE with a speedo in KM? Whats the deal with that? This car is fishy.
Oops... Just noticed its in Cananada.

He also is asking for canadian dollars and the price actually isnt so whacked out either. thats about what a good condition 10th anniversary 7 goes for up here they are very rare up here compared to the states, but more rare are any FC convertibles which ive seen sold for $12-$15k if they are in good condition.
10th A.E. in Canada = RARE
FC convertible in Canada= RARE
FC convertible and Turbo model in canada = EXTREMELY RARE and $$$
A turbo convertible ive seen listed for $18k CDN and they sold it for $16k this was only 2 years ago. So its not so whacked out but these cars in good condition fetch as much if not more than your poor-average condition FD models.

its a nice looking car, its just for the sake of original value though, he painted a 10th aniversary.. Im sure he has his reasons for wanting that much, without realizing that being it is a rare car, its somewhat downgraded with the color change, and also the miles hurt its value.

Too much money, even with a full restoration. Unless the credentials of the restorer are impeccable and a complete documentation is provided on the restoration, who's to say what has actually been done? A repainted AE is not going to be a good investment in that case as one of the few unique features of the AE (the pearl white paint) is replaced by regular old red. Such a high mileage car would never be an investment anyway.
$6000 would be about the top end of what could be asked, and I think it's worth every penny of $6000 if the car is truly perfect. But $10K for a repainted AE with a broken wiper and untuned engine blower (manual boost controller)? Not a chance.
How is a misadjusted e-brake a problem? It takes under a minute with a screwdriver to adjust the parking brake. Wonder if the cable is broken....
Flooding? Hmmm...A non-dialed in manual boost controller and a car that floods. Sounds like a damaged engine to me.
Also, surly someone pricing a car at a premium would invest the little bit of money to fix the wiper switch, spindle and adjust the parking brake.
Look at the closeup of the headlight. The paint job is very poor, or someone has waxed the car and done a horrible job at it.
The front view shows it's missing the undertray.
The stereo doesn't seem to fit very well.
The more I look at the car, the more I find wrong with it. If it was restored perfectly, someone has a different definition of "perfect" then I do.
$4000 car at the most. If the flooding is often, then $2000.
