DG5 Coilovers!
OK so I've read a lot on these coilovers and i don't know much about them. what i want to know is why are they so expensive if they're relatively new in USA. (unless I'm wrong) Anyone willing to shine some light on my situation? I like what I've read and heard but whats the specialty of them? What makes them so expensive! oh and that's the other thing whats with that expensive cost! I would love to own some for my FC but they're frieken killing me on the cost

I don't know if my reply will help any as I can only guess why it's so expensive but I maybe able to shine some light on how they feel. First off, the price is high even in Japan and I can only assume it due to cost of material, development, and then on top add cost to ship to the States equals expensive. Also if you plan on daily driving it I'd probably go with something a bit less aggressive and also if it is your daily don't combine these with polyurethane bushing because its extremely stiff. If these are for a track car then by all means get them because they are awesome. The standard FC rates are 8 and 6 respectively but I know custom rates are available. The SWIFT springs are awesome though if you read up on the development. The springs have less coils then most other companies which help on rebound. The shock are inverted monotube setup like the JGTC car and are easily adjusted when needed. I still need to fine tune the suspension and find a suitable set up but overall I do like how it handles at higher speeds and corners. Hope I helped a bit..GL

i think JTP is rocking those on his track car.
and some of the 240sx guys are rocking them *guys that have had experience with other coilovers*, and they got good comments about the DG5 being a good coilover.

I talked to JTP a couple of days ago and he commented on the fact that the DG5's are awesome...for the track...IMO, I totally agree that they rock for track usage but so far I've only had experience with them on the street. I guess it comes down to what you realistically and ultimately plan to use your car for. You might also want to look into powered by max...a couple of people on here have them and can provide more accurate feedback for you about them but if cost is an issue then those might be worth while to look into.

they are not really expensive for all that they can provide. like camber, dampening, stiffness, and much more. they are a good investment for the long run of abuse.
i heard DG5 are actuall really good coilovers two of my friends with 240 13's. said they recommend them looking forward to buying some myself
