Ok everyone seems concerned about looks and weight, so Ill ask what really matters...Does it work? Cooler water temps, less underhood heat? Does your air filter get wet? Im thinking of hacking up my hood, I want to do what works. Removing heat while keeping my ignition system dry.
So is it functional?

yes, my fan kicks in later during my drive home and stays on about half the time it usually does. I can just see the heat come pouring out. It seems to have more hp but that could just be my imagination.
Also the air filter would get wet. I'm rerouting it underneath the headlight possibly. But as of now i do not drive this car in the rain..

Here would be a good way to clean the look up, just run ducting up to the vent from the rad. http://jspec.com/typenvent.html

This reminds me of the hood scoop I made when I did my turbo swap. Everyone gives me ****, but **** em. It works. + works well. Probably better than stock since it's a bit bigger.
Now with that said, yours looks a **** ton better than mine. I just plan on getting an aluminum na hood.
