Besides the low mileage cars, we are flesh and blood. We will wither and DIE. When you are young, you need to BE young. Drive the car. If it's low mileage, then GREAT!! Let the car be "young" and drive it. Our time is limited and so is the cars, have fun with both. Why would you sit around waiting 20 years, with a sports car sitting in your garage, with the thought of it MAYBE gaining value?
So what if it gained value, what would you do with the money? Buy ANOTHER sports car that you won't drive? I could be dead tomorrow, I could be dead in 50 years. Either way, I would put miles on ANY car.
Make the most of it.

Yeah Toby I really don't see your point. 54k was low when I got it and coming across them @ that mileage is harder these days. True everything in my S4 TII worked when I got it and it even smelled like a brand new car forever. That car was meant for me and it happened thanks to some wonderful friends who helped out along the way. But I remember the first time you saw it "you should put that thing in a garage and never drive it".
I don't care about the mileage on it. It still shocks people to see it now and ask how old it is, original paint, etc. I take extremely good car of my car. I also drive the **** out of it. I love RX-7's and I'm not going to have one just sitting and not enjoying it. It's my daily driver, weekend warrior in the mountains and transportation on certain road trips I decide to take her on.
So you've **** on my thread on my pictures, and then the mileage on my car. Anything else?

I don't believe I said "never drive it."
I guess you "Cars were meant to be driven!" people just don't get it.
If that saying is so true and should be followed...
>you would never have found that 54k mile excellent condition 2nd gen rx7.
>VJ would have never found that low mileage light blue 1st gen rx7.
>Eric would have never found that 8k or 12k mile silver 3rd gen rx7.
so on and so on.
hmm.
Sorry for bashing, although I did mean to bash those pictures, Im just effin with ya.
Im out of this thread.
Peace.

In my humble opinion the condition of the car matters more than the number of miles on it. The two do not necessarily go hand in hand. You can put a lot of miles on a car and still take care of it properly. You can also put little or no miles on a car and allow it to succumb to carbon build-up and the like.
I say drive and enjoy your RX-7, just take care of the damn thing!

IMO the whole reason for buying a low milage example is to get as many troublefree miles of driving as possible and avoid the constant need to change wear items, but buying a low milage car and then try to use it as little as possible to keep the milage down is kind of gay.
I myself bought a rx7 86 @142K miles in January, and intend to use it as much as possible, would be fun owning a RX7 Turbo with more than 200k on the meter :P
