celica head lights

cuz im bored.. this is just a photoshop... but its kinda interesting..
Some conversion are tasteful , i remember seeing a NSX in a Japanese publication with celica head lights and it looked really good. Its kind of like a tuning statement when done nice. Car tuning is an art.

im curious how late model NSX headlights would look, obiously more expensive.

Makes it look like a 350Z from the front. I'm not a fan over-all I don't think. I would love some 99 spec FTP replacements though. Can you photoshop that up real quick?

Correct. Rotary Extreme used to make it but you could count the amount of them they made on 1 maybe 2 hands. A local guy here managed to convince Chuck to make one last bumper before Chuck closed up shop.

On topic:

The lights actually look ok, don't quite fit the body though.

No, I don't really like the look of the 99 spec front bumper conversion, I was thinking of just replacing the FC FTP lenses with the 99 spec light, ftp, fog light things, whatever they actually do. I think they might look okay on the FC front facia.

It looked better than I thought it would, and the NSX lights I've actually been thinking about for a while. It would probably be a fairly easy swap as well, and since the bulbs are mounted so high in the cluster (they might need to be pointed down a tad, or moved forward to overlap the FTP cutouts to be aimed in the right direction), an entire beam-like bright light could be put underneath to make the FTP lens a proper fog light-type thing.

I think they'd be a little bigger but I would do the opposite approach. Keep the update built in amber bulmb, and move the FC forward a few years by replacing the front rub strip with a nice clean one without broken places for the OEM turn signals. Then, remove the side markers, and get a fender mounted rotor shaped one where a 10th AE badge would go. There, modern day style turn signals.

Too many curves disrupt the boxiness of the car. The 99 spec FTPs don't look too bad, but it's not my style. The Celica lights don't do anything for me, it sorta reminds me of those "California Type R" or whatever kits for the Integras.

87 T2, That would look good too. I think I would keep the FC turn signals and change the 99 spec turn signals into extra fog lights, but the 10 AE fender signals would be awesome. I would say that these are ideas are definatley doable and sexy. I have to disagree with Midnight Owl though, I say the curves of the 99 spec lights could flow perfectly with the fender lines if positioned correctly. Have the top point and outside edge lined up with the top fender crease. Throw some HID lights in the 99 spec carriages.

ive seen an aftermarket s13 bumper on a fc before.

i held up a friends to my car and it didnt seem like it'd be hard to make work.

grafting it up with the stock bumper and the ftp holes, might be a different story.

fc's dont really have **** for aero.

atleast msport copies are popping up now but still.

you really only see bn or gp.

i'd be really interested to see the last chop done in person as i like that style on 240's and it might work on a fc.
