ive been searching a few pages for black 2nd gens now and i am getting tired of looking. if anyone can help post up pics of nice black FCs that they have or have seen that would help! or atleast direct me to the link lol.. i just purchased a 1991 black FC and would like to see some modded/clean black 2nd gens. please help and post some pics!!! thanks ...and if a black picture thread doesnt exist, hopefully one does now

Looks nice. Is that a legit GP kit or a knock off? What kind of intercooler are you going to run? Needs to be lowered for sure.

 

thanks! its a genuine kit =) i agree theres TOO much room in the wheel wells but the front bumper is actually really low in person so im trying to grow a pair before i lower it lol.

since im on a budget from doing 2 projects at once i went with a GODSPEED f/m intercooler. looks like a lot of people are with 300-600 hourse power are getting by fine with them so i opted not to go the $Greddy$ route that the previous owner had lol

 

Yup the godspeed front mount looks pretty good. Slam it and be careful where you drive lol!

 

haha sounds like vegas has some good roads? lol.. low cars hate south jersey roads! im gunna try different wheels first since these came with the car and are actually slicks -_-

 

Not so much. My current dd isn't slammed. It's lowered a bit on springs and shocks and I still scrape my exhaust sometimes. My other 7 will be slammed with a gp kit however. I'm looking forward to avoiding speedbumps and driveways.

wow first time Ive heard of someone shelling out the $$$ for real GPsports kit then go with a godspeed fmic lol. Car is sick tho, cant wait to see some coilovers on it and some rims. Where the heck did you get the clear corner lights?

the kit was put on by previous owner. he had a greddy f/m and the car is actually an 87 with a new factory S5 engine... he putin the cage, seats, S5 interior and had it at 520 rwhp. i was told he invested about 50 thousand then he lost his job and parted it out so here i am trying to rebuild it ...he said a guy on this forum sold him the clear markers. if i find out who ill let you know!

lol yea cause it has a body kit, i agree but ive always been into drifting and i autocross my miatas before i bought this fc. the factory BBS's in the miata community are HUGE! the asking price for them are 800-1000 for 14's and 15's since they only came on limited edition cars for 3 years. and since their so light, us autocross guys and drifters LOVE them on miatas... thats why im partial to buying a set for my FC i guess..

ill sleep on it before i decide to go with purple but i think purple looks great on black! LOL
