Beachfc's build(kinda) ...needing inspiration :(

so i bought this car in january https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...engine-972941/

I first bought the car for drift **** purposes. and after about a week of owning it i COMPLETELY fell in love with the feeling, handling, looks, the motor, and rotaries all together. and couldn't imagine sliding her into a wall

i've done a bit of **** since.. driveshaft, diff mounts, exhaust, steering wheel, wheels, tires, coilovers etc. so now i'm in the part of our relationship where i want to make her look nice, but body work is NOT my cup of tea.. i got a friend to help out, but he isn't so good either.

I have been thinking about selling it(and being heart broken) and buying an nb miata and turbocharging it, but can't seem to wrap my head around getting rid of this car

i was wondering what you guys think i should do? please keep the **** talking to a minimal, i don't car to argue about my car

here is some pics from when i got her in jan to now

bought crown vics almost instantly, since i seen them at the junk yard a couple weeks after buying the car

installing new e-brake cable

lowered it a little more, drooped the rear coils about 1/2 inch. maxed the front

got new fenders from battlecat, the old ones were warped, bent from drifting crashes :/

and again, installed

picked up a kit from mac, shoved it into this little bitch, took a good while to be able to fit everything + one of my buddies.

got the kit on and rocked it for a few months, it was pretty fun, but too much of a hassle sometimes..

got a few random things over time, driveshaft, steering wheel+hub+quick release, radiator panel, etc.

Looks like dicks.

Just kidding. I'm excited to see how it turns out. It looked rough when you first bought it.

The current result doesn't look too bad. I like it with no kit. Get the car professionally painted while to match those new wheels and call it a day. Enjoy the rotary power!

If you place time constraints on your dreams, it'll never turn out the way you envisioned it. Take your time and create your masterpiece.

**** looks pretty gangster to me! When its all done its gonna be bad ***.

Just don't put 1849101-48# stickers on it like radio! His car is too hipster for hipsters. :-x lmao

i'm going to get the body work done. but won't have money for a legit paint job for a while. in the mean time i'll throw some decent wheels on it, and get it looking semi-presentable.

I'd hate to put time constraints on it, but It's gotta be done sometime(never ACTUALLY done, but you get the point)

anyways, i like that philosophy and will be keeping that in mind as i slave for the next few years throwing cash at this bitch!

Do a lip, side skirts, and mud flaps. Just enough but not too much and nothing taking from the original. Best of luck.

It's been years, about 7 years actually, since I first decided to make my dream my reality. Been through 2 fc's. That not alot in comparison to some but I learned quickly what I wanted. Now, that vision has changed slightly but at its core, its still the same. Finally, it's all coming together.

A lot of the time these damn rotarys put us through hell don't they? You either learn or give up. One thing is for sure, it teaches through experience. Those lessons are powerful tools moving forward.

Throwing together parts and calling it a build, is silly.

You have a clear vision of what you want. Finish it. Or you will regret it, mark my words.

where is the engine work? lol

I am the only guy who has started his build to make power and make it more reliable?

about 12g's into my build and the only thing I have touch in my exterior is my rims and coilovers, all my attention has been on the engine bay.

Btw Radio im still waiting on you to come back and scrape the paint you left on my drive way lmao

This was what I was planning if I keep the RX7 come spring time. Corksport odula or mazdaspeed lip, T2 skirts, OEM duckbill spoiler and G35 mudguards.

my car is more reliable than a civic for real..

i'm sorry but it's NA.. i mean theres very minimal mods to be done in the first place..

what more is there to do? streetported motor with ~25k on it, koyorad, all the necessary gauges, exhaust(stage3 clutch, kaaz 1.5way, newdriveshaft).. what else would you like me to do? hahaha i could use a fresh tranny i guess?

i mean a $12k build would be cool and all.. if i even made 12k a year

also, i think i'd take my 18-20mpg and run, over a turbo build..

I know what it's like to have a low budget. I work part-time while in school so I can spend maybe 300 a month on my car. It sucks ***. I basically get to buy one part a month, if that. When I end up buying coilovers I'll have to save for 4 months.

What coilovers do you currently have? I'm not looking to be as low as you (I'm getting Crown Vics before spring). I want a solid, yet comfortable ride.
