we've raced on rotas for years, they are the perfect race wheel actually. WHEN the drivers hit things, its not $500 a wheel to replace.
the race car is not some big tank (2400lbs), and we run the RB wheels mostly and have never had a problem

I think they are made in the Philippines. I had a wheel break on me like that before, but it was an american racing wheel (not on my rx7) and it was when it hit a curb during a sandstorm.

Douplepost (?)
I've an FC with them, it looks OK. Good choice for cheap aftermarket wheels for a better tire selection. Posting pics of broken wheels without a story is easy, I live in an area with a big import community (Central FL) and personally don't know of anyone that has broken a set of rotas. Other alternatives would be sportmaxx's, old school meshes from an american car widened by a wheel shop, or ARE (american) meshes from ebay. Just do your research on offsets/width and tire setups unless you want it to look wack.

most of those pics of broken rotas are because they are cast molded, and the drivers dont know how to drive lol... The real wheels that those wheels knock off, are mostly forged, and do not snap break like that, they will mostly bend and fold up etc, and you dont typically see their drivers put them into that type of abuse smashing into curbs etc

i say go for it rotas are cheap to replace if needed and normally are decent wheels i mean yes they break in an accident but in everyday driving they are just fine. my freinds run rotas all the time on subis, boosts on Evos are common. and my freind has the TE37 lookalike rotas on his FC
