the car imo is setup for drift right now.. i could go, but im not tryin to push around banked corners wanting oversteer

my old s13 the white car in the very back

on another night, i killed my z32 fuel pump

had to pull off the bodykit to get it on the truck.. scrapped the intercooler on the way up

I used to take my benz 190e touge was awesome!

car handled great for a oldschool 4door benzie.. 185hp cosworth 4 banger 5speed with active rear suspension.. I miss it, i want another one.

first off rotarybeat...that is one crazy beautiful hairpin!!!!

me im love the touge...my first run was the most fun i had in my life and i was a passenger. my newly found car friend took me in his hachi and after that i was hooked and thats how i got into sevens and touge and drifting...

when it comes to touge im all about TOUGE! i just dont stick to grip i like slip too. when we touge we touge hard now. crazy speed up and down hill and there is a spot on our usual road where we can park off to the side and watch people run and the turn right next to the parking area is the "drift turn" where every one learns to drift the touge. my friend alveen with the hachi drives a gts ae86 with the sr5 4a-c engine still in it and he enters that turn to drift at 60-80 mph and its so fun riding shot gun. maybe this weekend i can get some fotage for you guys and post up

sorry for the long post...i got a litle excited lol

Apparently with "touges" the general car guy golden rule of never crossing double yellow does not apply. Its one thing to endanger yourself and another to endanger incoming traffic.

exactly we are usually doing this at about one in the morning till four or five...and if we do any earlier we have some one on look out for the drift turn to notify the people runing know traffic or people are open to danger. me and my circle of friends are very cautious and organized. unlike some people who ruin it for us and star fights and **** lol which they are starting to come up to our touge spot. now we need a new one on weekends. :[

I don't know about you guys, but both mountain passes that we run are in national parks, so they're closed when we go up. Meaning nobody should be up there. I know that everyone that I have gone with has never been close to endangering anyone. Plus the main course we run is one way.

Plus the fact that Touge driving, requires more skill than most other auto sports, from random animals, to potholes, to any other unpredictable thing that might happen. It requires so much focus and concentration, that you'd be an idiot to not pay attention to your surroundings. So accusing us of endangering others is quite insulting, at least to me. I have a perfect driving record, and never caused an accident or anything. I save my racing, for controlled roads, and sanctioned events. I figure anyone skilled enough to do touge is a very skilled and aware driver... *******

A)If they are closed national parks what are you doing there, doesn't that mean someone else could be there too.

B)Be insulted, and keep convincing yourself that running down a "touge" means you are better than Jeff Gordan.

C)If you save your racing for controlled roads and sanctioned events what are you doing on public roads at night racing? (You yourself said there are many unexpected things such as animals, and potholes that is not a controlled environment)

D)*******

E)I have nothing against speeding down some road, just stay on your side. I don't want to be driving down some road minding my own business and get hit head on and die because the Redsuns are all over the road.

It's clean for a reason. It is one of the many gems that is tucked away really nice-like and I like to keep it a secret as so. I absolutely love that road and its such a joy driving it. I would hate to see a bunch of inexperienced drivers ruining it for us and killing themselves on it.

It is so desolate and low key that I wouldn't want it to start getting patrolled or anything. Keep the attention and popularity down, it stays nice for a long time you know. lol.

A) yes it does, but very rarely do you see anyone. Secondly at night if your going around a hairpin, you can obviously see headlights coming if someone was coming up. Making it very obvious there is someone. And finally, rarely do you go into headon traffic, especially when the main road we go on is ONE WAY, so whatever.

B) i never said i was pro, or thought i have the skills or experience to be pro. But i do race autoX and hit up the track, and running a mountain pass is an experience beyond a track. Yes, it is way more challenging, there is almost zero room for error. So the thrill is way higher.

C) late night mountain runs, IMO, is somewhat controlled, if you know the track and play it safe. Its better than racing friday and saturday nights down super busy highways. There are way less accidents, tickets, injuries, etc. on our mountains, than the racing on our crowded streets where most race. Everyone who does that is from 16-25 and are very immature and show it by weaving in and out of traffic, everyone that hits the mountains, also goes to the track, and IMO, are way more skilled.

D) I wasn't serious, take a joke.

E) Then why did you post? I've never put anyone in risk... ever. Unlike the ten times weekly, I get cut off, pulled out in front of or some stupid ****, by retards who can't drive. Let alone the millions of people who drive every night under the influence. This is supposed to be a nice thread with awesome stories, and beautiful scenic pictures, so go preach somewhere else, and let the people who love driving on mountain passes be. Thankyou

I posted in response to a video someone posted driving all over a mountain road.

I am also enjoying these pictures, some really artistic photography in this thread.

I was also just joking, with the . Take a joke

Keep the roads safe and keep the picture coming.
