What happens when 20b engines and parts are gone?

With the limited number of engines and parts going down from day to day, what will happen to existing 20b engined cars in need of new shafts, irons, etc?

I know there are some manufacturers of billet shafts (saw some sites with little info and no pricing for Astralian manufacturers), but I didn't find info on the 20b plates.

I'm in the planning stages and I'm just trying to cover all options for long term service of engine options.

Short crank 3 rotors with modified center housings.
The E-shaft and center housings that are required to make a standard 20b tend to last a long time(ie: multiple builds).
Housings and rotors and everything else are generally interchangeable and not in short supply.

That's what things were looking like. So existing 20b owners are looking at switching back to stock mount location, diving through a parts pile from their old engine, and getting the kit for a 3 rotor of 13b parts that I've been reading about. They're also looking at modifying their exhaust manifold and likely custom LIM to deal with the shorter stack.

I would hope that as demand for 20b replacement parts increases, some manufacturer would start producing the plates. The front is required as well as the thick middle, right?

so keeping all of this in mind, in the long run, it seems like a 13b short stack seems like a more viable way to go than it traditionally had been in the past. At least without knowing far sure that someone will pick up where Mazda left off with replacement parts.

With the power levels I'm looking to achieve, I wouldn't be in danger, save for tuning error or part failure. I'm considering 20b for torque curve and simplicity of build (no need for water/meth, E85 less necessary, less stress on engine). Pricing of the 13b setup I've been looking at (rew or re build) is fairly similar to what the 20b would end up at, so the cost of build isn't a huge part of my decision. I'm just looking to not set myself up for some major expenses due to reconfiguration in the event of engine failure.

the 20b plate is available currently through turbo smart

these people will hopefully offer another version as well to keep the market competitive in terms of price. http://billetinc.com.au

so we have the 20b fat plate taken care of now all we need is a source for good eshafts and the stationary gears. or perhaps a 3 peice eshaft so another bearing could be added to the other middle iron to reduce the chances of it flexing.

revamping the whole project into one based off off the 16x would be nice to I think we could all enjoy a 2.4 litre short crank 3 rotor. you could get away with a smaller turbo to make the same power levels and spool it faster due to the larger displacement. The 16x design of direct injection into the combustion chamber could greatly help with fuel efficency.
